that sucks but it’s a male experience. you need to stop assuming that suffering is synonymous with being female. your desperation not to be male is something that only a male person can experience. suffering as a GNC male does not make you a girl and it’s deeply disturbing that you assume it does.
it seems like a lot of TIMs find it deeply upsetting to know that their persecutors are the same sex as them. maybe it’s natural to be upset about having anything in common with your bullied, but at times it seems like they just can’t bear the thought of men hurting other men and they need to pretend that the victims are women in order to make sense of it, because they see femaleness and victimhood as synonymous
I’m on a roll! This is the second piece of art I’ve fixed today:
It is heartening to see the number of paternity leave programs increase across the U.S. and, as as recent study out of the University of California Santa Barbara reports, it is having a meaningful impact. In California, where paid-family leave was sanctioned by law in 2004, fathers are 46 percent more likely to take advantage of the option than before the law was enacted. However, researchers also discovered that men are significantly more inclined to take paternity leave if their child is male.
this makes my heart hurt
This does not surprise me at all. Unfortunately.
The study also reveals that “when the sample is limited to fathers married to employed mothers these gender effects become even stronger—fathers of girls do not respond to the policy at all…[Moreover,] the new leave policy increases joint parental leave by 58 percent if the infant is male, but not at all if the infant is female.”
:(

Is it just me or is this comment insanely funny
Pairs well with this
This has the exact same vibe as that FBI report saying it's hard to infiltrate anarchists because they are "scholars of history" and read too many books for infiltrators to keep up with.
It’s funny how a man becoming a literal neo-Nazi because someone didn’t coddle him enough is understandable and he’s basically treated like a victim who needs to be saved, but women who become “terfs” after being harmed by men and trans ideology are irredeemable bigots who deserved to be killed.
Like if I had a dollar for every “We need to be nice to straight white men otherwise they’ll become Nazis and it’ll be all our faults 🥺🥺🥺” post, I could retire in my thirties
Meanwhile, I’ve never seen a “Maybe we should stop threatening to violently rape and kill any woman who questions trans people. It might be driving some of them away from our cause.” post
FACT: Choice is complicated
“Testimony from survivors and studies of women and girls in prostitution consistently show that many were in local authority care as children; many started in prostitution before they were 18 or when they were homeless; many were coerced into prostitution; and the majority had been abused as children.
The following chart shows statistics from studies of prostituted women and girls in the UK:
This paints a picture of a marginalised population of girls and young women whose options at the time they started were severely limited. They were not choosing between prostitution and being a vet or a midwife or going to college to study.
Instead these figures suggest that the options for most of them were between prostitution and sleeping rough, or prostitution and being beaten by the person who was coercing them – or losing his support – and for a young woman with little or no family support this might have been more persuasive than being beaten.
So to the man who asked on The Guardian website whether we respect her choice, the answer is yes, indeed we do. But we don’t think those are the options anyone should be facing. It would be like saying that my little girl’s choice of pyjamas justified the choices that I imposed on her.
Because how is a 15, 16, 17, 18-year old girl to know how it will affect her over time, pretending every day that she is enjoying all those men groping her and each ramming his dick into her? Men who might be older than her father and even her grandfather. How is she to know in advance about the violence that is inherent to prostitution? And how it can never be safe?
How is she to know that – in this world that has told her since she was a tiny child that her only purpose in life is to look pretty, to please the male gaze? In this world that glamorises not only prostitution, but pimping too?
So how is her choice, her consent, to enter prostitution either free or informed?
A choice that is not free is not really a choice. Consent that is not informed is not consent.
And did anyone ever tell her, that for most women in prostitution, it is hard to get out and that if she does manage it, the chances are high that she will be worse off than when she started and have a whole heap of additional problems, like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)?”

The reason a man can’t legally club you over the head and drag you back to his house is because a lot of women who came before you were called loud, and annoying and shrill, and evil, and witches and stupid and sluts and harlots and sinners and ugly and spinsters and lesbians. Now they’re called terfs, nazis, Karen’s and femcels and bigots.
There has never been a point in history where feminists engaged in actual positive change were well liked and warmly received. To be feminist is to be hated and called whatever the Worst Thing Possible currently is btw.
If they like you it’s because the hard work is done.
i know this is an extremely basic baby’s first feminism observation but it does genuinely drive me crazy how for the most part stories about men are presumed to be universal and stories about women are About Women

What the Taliban is doing to Afghan women is not “restrictions.” It’s gender apartheid- a total war on half the population.
• No school beyond grade 6 for girls.
• No university, no jobs, not even nursing or working for the UN.
• No public spaces :parks, gyms, beauty salons, even restaurants are forbidden.
• No freedom of movement without a male guardian.
• No voice in public, sometimes not even at home if men can hear.
• No bodily autonomy, contraceptives banned, justice system weaponized, women flogged and stoned.
This isn’t “culture.” It’s the deliberate destruction of female existence in public and private life.
And yet… the world shrugs.
Why? Because women’s rights are always treated as negotiable. It’s not complex. It’s patriarchy with guns.
We don’t need “awareness.” We need rage that doesn’t fade and solidarity that doesn’t stop when the headlines do. Afghan women are resisting every single day, often at the risk of prison, torture, or death. The least we can do is refuse to normalize their oppression.
Silence is complicity.
Patriarchy everywhere is patriarchy we must destroy.

Just here to say that over 99% of offensive wars, terrorist atrocities and genocides since the dawn of humanity itself have been committed by just 49% of the population. They call themselves ‘the logical sex’.
Men calling themselves logical is the only time i laugh at a man’s joke
I know one might be tempted to say something like “wow man who writes song called ‘Romantic Homicide’ and he actually killed the GIRL he was with, shocking” but I think that while yes it’s completely unsurprising that’s also a wildly inappropriate response to the death of a GIRL who was groomed and then murdered by her groomer and found “incomplete” in the trunk of his car.
I will not be talking about the mounting evidence against him such as matching tattoos or pictures together or things like that. I want to talk about how the normalization of male violence against women in media has contributed to the fact that people didn’t think it was weird that an artist released that song and had merch of literal bloody shirts and did not think something was deeply wrong.
If violence against women wasn’t normalized to the degree it is in music, books (yes including written by women, ie haunting Adelaide or whatever), movies, then this situation would have been recognized and dealt with sooner, and maybe not too late.
This young girl was failed by every adult in her life, them knowing she was ‘dating’ this man, his fucking discord server knew and users would be banned if they mentioned her, and by his friends that knew. But she was also failed by way of the fact that he literally admitted to the crime, made money off it, and no one thought anything because apparently men contemplating killing women is commonplace.
I understand it’s freedom of speech but honestly if you are writing songs about murdering your romantic partner, especially if its a man singing it, you should be looked at because a song meditating on murdering your girlfriend or wife is not normal and is worrying.
