Terrible Sketch Tuesday #104 - Nov.25.2014!

Welcome back to the final weeks of Terrible Sketch Tuesdays - YEAR TWO!

Last year, for TST #052 (which can be seen here), I decided to sketch my favorite internet MEME: The Noble…Nopetopus, for the last of TST YEAR ONE!

So what better way to end TST YEAR TWO, than with a sketch of my favorite internet video...MARCEL THE SHELL WITH SHOES ON!

For what it is worth, and by the way, this is the final Terrible Sketch Tuesday weekly sketch. I have done it for 104 consecutive weeks - TWO YEARS. It has been a wild ride. Between this and Inktober this year, I have learned a ton.

HUGE THANKS to everyone who has ever supported this endeavor, my convention sketches, or art in general (terrible or otherwise).

Last year, for TST #051 (which can be seen here), I sketched Darkseid, Pop Vinyl Style. And earlier this year (TST #55), I improved on my Darkseid, by making him arm wrestle Doomsday, so there is that. What do I have this week?

Last year, for TST #046 (which can be seen here), I sketched Master Chief with the intention of getting it signed by Steve Downes at that years' ACCC. Well, I had to wait a year, but I eventually did get it signed! (see image here) I also was able to get my Cortana shirt signed by Jen Taylor. It was a good day.

So, in the continuing spirit of ACCC sketches, MSFT associated properties, and video games, here is a...MINECRAFT CREEPER!

Last year, for TST #042 (which can be seen here), I posted a quick Daredevil sketch with a name reflective of my love for HHGTTG...

This year, I decided to do a different take on the same character - attempting to stick to Matt Kindt's art style. I am not sure if I hit the mark, but I think it looks pretty decent (and that is what counts, I think).

So, here he is, with his radar sense...DAREDEVIL!

Last year, for TST #041 (which can be seen here), I posted a sketch that I did during Cincy Comicon. While I was not at this convention this year, I did spend part of my birthday "out". This time I happened to be at a restaurant called "Lot 3". I liked how the coasters looked, so I decided to do another set of Mind MGMT fan art... I actually feel that the name "Lot 3" fits right in the MIND MGMT universe, so, it all works out... right?

That said, here are three sketches on "Lot 3" coasters; the set, aptly named...MIND MGMT, LOT 3!

Terrible Sketch Tuesday #92 - Sep.02.2014!

Welcome back to the continuation of Terrible Sketch Tuesdays - YEAR TWO!

Last year, for TST #040 (which can be seen here), I sketched fan art based on Daniel Warren Johnson's www.space-mullet.com. That was a pretty amazing sketch, so no need to improve it...instead, I decided to give myself a different kind of sketch stretch goal - participate in a drink and draw with a bunch of really really good artists.

So, for this week, here is my submission for the Alamo City Comic Con, 75th Anniversary Batman Themed D&D, held at the Hard Rock Cafe in Downtown San Antonio, to benefit Susan G. Komen...DARK KNIGHT IN THE ALAMO CITY!

There are WAY too many Deadpool sketches in the world.

On the other hand, there are not nearly enough Motorcycle Samurai sketches in the world, for how awesome that series is...

So, last year, TST #037 (which can be seen here), was a quick colored pencil sketch of my favorite Marvel Super-villain, evaluating how best to conquer Earth...in fact, last year on this day, was the eve of Marvel's Infinity Event - Wow, it has been a year!

Anyway, I knew I was going to stick to the Thanos theme for this week's sketch, but I wanted to up my game a bit, and sketch him like my favorite Thanos artist...

So here he is, sketched after Ron Lim, just several ticks towards terrible: THE MAD TITAN, THANOS!

Welcome back to the continuation of Terrible Sketch Tuesdays - YEAR TWO!

So, last year, TST #036 (which can be seen here), was a simple mash-up between Futurama and Adventure Time...This week, well, is a simple pencil sketch of my son's [latest] favorite cartoon character. And since it is my son's birthday, and this sketch is for him, why not dedicate this week's TST to him? That is what I thought! :)
