Who’s a good boy??
So Jack would really just go to coffee shops and wish he wasn't alone before he met Ianto...
And then him spotting him one night at Canary Wharf, while a memory from his past literally wanders away..
rewatching doctor who after torchwood is like reading a fairytale after a week of greek tragedies. wdym a love interest gets to survive? they can do that?
reentering the fandom after 10+ years like i never even left
Randomly thinking Jack and Ianto thoughts tonight. That bit in the season 1 finale where Ianto goes for a friendly handshake cuz what are they but Jack is like nah fuck that and goes in for a hug and then is like nah FUCK that and kisses him on the mouth. Television.
Classic Who Brainrot continues 😀👍
I think they deserve a soft epilogue.
They're good people, and they've suffered enough.
fandoms, I feel, generally need to embrace a more libertarian approach in discussions. Especially in DW/TW where there is no canon. My bf always mentions Dragon Ball, where everything is canon, yet there are still fallouts in terms of fan opinions and interpretations. Which is crazy to me.
By allowing pluralism, and respecting hcs in these cases, you just wouldn't have toxic engagements. I think this also extends to political debates over dogma - you cannot kill other people's ideas, and you cannot change them, so trying to give your own voice authority in the face of absolute anarchy, is hostile futility. And thus, attempting this, culminates into fanbases with equal or monotonous interpretations/explorations.
To diverge from the main fan-narratives shouldn't be treated as being "incorrect", nor as an attack on the fans who strongly hold those beliefs, yet it's seen as such because people do not like pluralism. Just as people do not like change, in a show where the main character changes all the time.
Tribal states are natural and beneficial, but someone else deciding to live an anarchic lifestyle shouldn't have the tribesmen determining it to be an invasion, or infringement on their own society. But it's easier to think they are a threat, when you view everything through that tribal lense, and assert it to others. Which can be so draining mentally, and limiting.
Uniformity is boring.
As the two laid on the beach, music playing in their ears, they had no idea it'd be the last time. Lisa let the sea breeze wash over her, not knowing a week from now she'd be disfigured by metal and wires. Ianto watched the woman he loved most in the whole world, not knowing in one week she'd never be the same again.
I accidentally thought about him again…
Also sorry about my handwriting. Idk how legible it is.

I relate to Ianto Jones because I too would offer the person I'd been having undefined relations with a handshake instead of a kiss after they've been resurrected because I'm not exactly sure what we are
