Valoistober is an Inktober dedicated to books by A. Dumas such as La Reine Margot, La Dame de Monsoreau, Les Quarante-Cinq. The themes are not for every day, but for every 3 days, so there are only 11 of them. The Challenge will run until 31 October. It would be great if there are fans of these books here who want to participate! Make a repost of this blog to spread the word.
the mountain goats make music for people who spent their entire lives convinced they would die before they were 17 except now they're 26 and they have a job and friends and hobbies and they're not sure what they're meant to do now that they've survived
I just want people to appreciate this adaptation more. I dont think its the best, it has its flaws. But look at the chemistry between these characters! (Yes, my version is in French, dubbed into Russian and I made English subs. I`m really sorry :D)
➜ The case of the unfortunate Princess of Condé is symptomatic of the strategies developed by Henri IV throughout his tenure as King of Navarre, pretender to the French Throne, and lastly King of France. Women, specifically, were more often than not the collateral damages of his moves across the political chessboard. It is actually very likely that he either instigated himself the murder of his cousin Condé, or openly took the opportunity to lead the charge against the widowed Princess. At the time of his death, Condé was more popular than the King of Navarre had ever been among Protestant forces, which might have soon caused a rift between the Bourbon and Bourbon-Condé families in the quest for the French throne.
With Condé dead, his widow framed for his murder, and their newborn son placed under his care, whom he arranged the Catholic christening of, Henri IV not only managed to get rid of one potential rival but three. Charlotte would have been fully supported, in the event of a regency for her infant son, both by her Catholic relatives from the Montmorency family and the Protestant leaders who had pledged allegiance to her late husband. Making her, and her son, serious candidates for the French throne.

Look at what my dear friend Bell, @littlestpersimmon, did for me! I gave her some details about something I’m working on, and she made a beautiful KyoKao piece for me. I love that she captured a personal moment that I’m writing while adding her personal touch.
Thanks again, Bell! Your loveliness seeps into your artwork, and the world is better for it! <333
