yknow, for as much crap as we give scout for being a "womanizer" or whatever, he's honestly pretty nice? like, in expiration date, he is actually really genuine and gentle with pauling, even though he's a freaking idiot. when he talks to spy about her he's not talking about her body or how sexy she is or even how much he wants to bang her. he's talking about her. he talks about the way her glasses lie crooked and how she smells nice. that's just genuinely sweet stuff for him to notice. when he talks to her, he's also doing his best to be polite, like he's actually appreciating her. and in the comics??? like damn! when zhanna, who i as a straight woman want badly, offers herself up completely, he decides to stay loyal to pauling. even though they're not dating, because he's silly, because he wants to prove that he can do that. which is genuinely really cute!! and he's also super polite when he talks to pauling and realizes he's gotten over her. he's a sweetheart okay? mama taught him how to not be a total idiot.
