“Qalam” my son. Acrylic on canvass 28 1/2x 26. Been a couple of years since I’ve completed a portrait. And my first in acrylic. It was a great experience and I was able to knock some dust off with this one, lol. I think as artist it is fine to have a “niche.” It’s a great thing but remember to always go back to our roots. Art is a lineage. We can trace it all the way back to Africa. It has evolved and de-volved only to recycle again. It is an objective and subjective voice. It’s is documentation of truths and falsehoods….
