Jared was just watching TV on the couch when he heard the knock at his door, since he’d never heard back from Michael he wasn’t sure if he was going to come or not. He got up and shuffled to the door opening to see the younger man on the other side. He smiled at him and opened the door wider. “Come on in Michael, I wasn’t sure if you were coming or not, you want a drink or something to eat?” Jared asked him.
“Um…water will be fine,” he said with a grin. He wasn’t ready to eat yet and his stomach was too nervous anyway. Michael looked around the house and his heart hurt for Jared. There were so many pictures of him with his husband around the house. They looked so happy and not a care in the world. The teenager took a seat on Jared’s couch and waited for him. “I’m really sorry for your loss Jared. I can’t imagine how hard it is for you right now.”
Jared went into the kitchen and got Michael a bottle of water and handed it to the younger man. "Here you go, thanks for coming by." Jared told him sitting down on the couch. "Yeah it's been hard at least there were no kids, I don't think I could have done that alone." Jared told him sadly as he sat by the other man. "So tell me about yourself Michael, I don't want to talk about Ryan anymore." Jared told him sadly shaking his head.
