Sorry for being a tad late. These are a few quick sketches I did in preparation for a new project I'll be working on soon. I'm planning to take photos for reference of dilapidated homes that I would often see during my childhood trips between various towns and cities in southern/central Texas.
I started the Hatchet Fish drawing the other day, I didn't get to finish though -_-. The letters is a brainchild for my font/letterface, I'm going to refine them on a grid and then turn them into the actual computer graphic. Can't wait!!!!!
Hello all! I'm really excited to be part of this blog. I find it difficult at times to come up with work or ideas outside of school (especially during holiday breaks), so this is a great motivator to create work for the sake of experimentation and consistent practice of art making.
This particular image was made with pen, prismacolor pencil, and gold acrylic paint on found paper. I shall have something else ready for this coming Friday. -Qindeel
I like deep sea fish, they're unbelievably hellish and alien- practically another world within our own. This one in particular is a Fanfin Seadevil. My drawing is still too fuzzy and I need to practice for my drawing 2 class I'll be taking next semester. Thought I'd start brushing up. I'm going to be pretty busy until the 11th so here is my submission for this week. Hatchet fish will be next! ALSO, side note, Qindeel and I were having difficulty getting onto the tumblr. We're not sure if it is because we can't access it from different computers or if we need to logout before someone else can get on. I had to change the password to see how it would work and we're about to see what the problem is. Too many people logging on from different computers might result in an issue of up-keeping the blog. I'll update this later to let you know if we figured it out. Another thing; please pardon me, just helping iron out some of the kinks. I think maybe renaming the blog to TexasGuildofArtists maybe better, just in case people who join us aren't from San Marcos.
UPDATE ON LOGON PROCESS:
Even though I changed the password and logged off, it doesn't work when someone else logs on from another computer. Maybe we should open a blogspot and add everyone's separate gmail accounts to post to that one blog. We had this particular process for my graphic design class last semester.
A song I finished a few days ago, made in FL9. I think it's cool. "Space is My Only Friend" -Chris Crider

Isabella helped alot on this one. I like the way it turned out. Not really sure what it is, but that doesn't matter. I call it, "Dessert Winds"...yeah.

I'll be posting a song too pretty soon, black canvas is fun. -Chris

Sorry it's late. I was hoping I could figure out a way to finish it but I seriously cannot come up with a damn thing to put in that big empty spot. And I need to fix up the line on the tree, but whatever. I had to move on to something else for awhile but I still like it as it is now. So I'm calling it done for now.
My first submission. Canvas, Acrylic, Watercolor.
There isn't really a point behind the painting, or a story. There never really is with my artwork. I tend to defer from explanations because in all honesty, no one really is going to care about it haha. Anyways here you go, one thing I enjoy about it personally is that it looks like two paintings fused together. Can't wait to continue with this blog! This is the first personal painting I've done since that giant hipster triangle one I made for that dude in Canada. Sweet. Can't wait to see your stuff! I'm still a little rusty but one every five days will get the creative juices flowin again!
