"It's pretty damn sus." Tanner said with a chuckle. "To be fair, sometimes I feel like the events are teambuilding exercises for whatever the mayor has up their sleeve..."

"Yeah, it's great team building when it's one person from each district." She laughed and shook her head. "How are you doing, Tanner? How are things with Nicole?"

She laughed. "I mean, I don't think anyone would be mad at you if you did." She promised her. "I think they'd gladly let you take me, I tend to work way too much for my own good."

"So that means you need to start taking more time off and more time for yourself. I am the best person for that job, Logan!"

"Well it could always be worse, just remember that." She looked at Gwen.

"Hmm, I'm not sure how it could be worse, Tessa. We live in a really weird town, you understand that, right?" She laughed.

"Well the party is happening now so what better way to get to know someone than during this mandatory black out?"

"I mean, the party wasn't too horrible, but I still hate that it happened, you know?"

"Yeah, I can't even think of a reason why this event will be a good idea, but I am going to live it up anyways. Life is so much easier when you don't ask questions."

"It's more annoying too, I don't really like to be told what to do, you know?"

"I..." Tanner went wide eyed and nodded in agreement. "I can't say I'm thrilled for the event this month, but having a blackout should be really fucking interesting. It's really fucking sus, though."

"When does the mayor do anything that isn't sus, you know?" Gwen looked at Tanner. "We don't know a single fucking thing about this person and here they are telling us what challenges to do and what events to do."

She looked at Gwen. "I am so glad I'm not the only one who had that feeling about this event." She said. "It's just...I'm not ready for that event."

"I mean, the event could have been worse, but it's still scary what could have happened, you know?"

"I know we just spent a whole month in Italy, but I am ready for another vacation. I felt so refreshed while we were away." @rededgestart

"Oh I am so right there with you." Gwen smiled at Devin. "It's just nice to be able to explore and get to know other cultures other than our own."

Emersyn claimed a seat near the edge of the pier, lunch balanced on her knee, sunglasses pushed up into her hair. The ocean breeze did most of the work of slowing her down, salt and noise blurring the line between break and escape.

She glanced up when someone stopped nearby, a small smile pulling at her mouth. “You people watching too, or did I steal the last good spot without realizing it?”

"I so needed this lunch." Logan looked at her friend with a smile. "Seriously, work has been kicking my ass, I feel like I live in the ER more than my own house." @rededgerpstarterblog

"Well I'm glad you finally got time off before I went to the ER and forced you to see me."

"Well when you're the face of Gucci, I imagine you have to be everywhere and nowhere every day."

"I wouldn't say I'm the actual face of Gucci, there's plenty of models for it, but still." Gwen laughed. "How are you doing Tyler?"

Lorelai chuckled abit " Sure you can. Sit," she said as offered the seat across from her. She lowered her menu to look at her new friend " Before we start our little girls brunch date, what's your name? I'm Lorelai," she smiled.

"Thank you." Gwen smiled and sat down across from her. "I'm Guinevere, but everyone calls me Gwen. It's great to meet you, Lorelai! Are you new in town or are you just visiting a friend?"

Lorelai had just came into town a few hours ago and needed something to eat. She had found the nearest cafe after dropping her bags off at the Airbnb. Then sat down at a table and red off the menu to herself " Hmm... eggs benedict looks promising. I could do that orrr...classic pancakes with a side of bacon is always a good time mhm," she nodded. Suddenly she heard a voice above her menu and she looked up and smiled at them. "I'm sorry what? I was distracted by the yummy pictures on this thing," she chuckled. @rededgerpstarterblog

"I was just asking if you wanted company. Literally everywhere else is filled up."
