"Sit, drink, we have business to discuss." Rowan said and took a sip of his drink, not waiting for the other person to sit and drink. @rededgerpstarterblog
"And what business is that?" Devin raises a brow at Rowan as she sits down across from him and takes a sip of her wine. "Is it urgent?"
Emersyn smiled, looking equal parts relieved and amused. "I knew asking a familiar face would save me." She glanced down the glowing street before looking back at Devin. "Maybe just a little more exploring. I don't get to say I wandered Tokyo every day, and it's probably safer getting lost with someone who actually knows where they're going."
Devin smiled. "We can wander for as long as you want to." She told her friend as they walked. "Did you enjoy the trip?"
It had taken him a little time, but eventually he'd gotten to the point where he could stop questioning the impromptu trip to Japan enough to let himself enjoy it. Although, despite the glamour, it wasn't without it's challenges. Still, he found a sliver of peace in his new found form of entertainment. "I'm convinced our 7-Elevens back home haven't discovered their true potential. They need some monumental plot shift, or some Kenny Ortega Disney musical bullshit to realize how much better they can be." @rededgerpstarterblog
Devin laughed and looked at Liam. "At least we have a 7-11, there are some places that don't even have that." She shrugged. "But you're right, our one back home should seriously step it's game up."
Tokyo felt different after dark.
Emersyn stood just outside a small convenience store in Shibuya, a canned coffee in one hand and a shopping bag dangling from the other. Neon signs painted the street in every color imaginable while crowds flowed around her like a river. She glanced down at her phone, realizing she'd somehow wandered farther from the hotel than she'd meant to.
Looking up, she spotted a familiar face in the crowd and let out a relieved laugh. "Please tell me you know how to get back to the hotel, because I'm about ninety percent sure I'm lost." @rededgerpstarterblog
The only reason Devin where where she was, was because she had been here before with the family that she nannied for. Perks of being a live-in nanny meant she got to travel. She had just put her phone away when she spotted the other blonde and smiled. "I do know where we are. I've been here before, and it is just as wonderful then as it is now." She said. "You ready to go back or do you want to explore more?"
"That is very true." Zane agreed with a smile. "Is there anywhere or anything you want to see while we're here?"
"Is it weird if I tell you that I don't care what we do? I just want to enrich in the cutlure, enjoy the food and live my best life. Does that make sense?"
"I'm sure there's plenty to do. Maybe we can hit up a spa and enjoy some sushi?"
"A spa day with sushi sounds honestly amazing." Devin said with a smile. "Do you have someone to watch your girl while we go or is she coming with us?"
"We're in Japan for a month, so we have to do all the tourist stuff, I don't care how nerdy it may seem, if it's a tourist thing, I am down to do it." @rededgerpstarterblog
"Oh I am so down." Devin said with a smile. "That's the best part of traveling, you know?"
"Thank you, Devin." She smiled at her friend. "I am feeling excited and nervous at the same time." She admitted with a laugh. "It's always a huge mix of emotions whenever I enter a new era of music."
"I think that's a good sign though." Devin looked at the younger woman. "That means that you're still passionate about what you do. Your new album is going to break records Pen, and you know this."
"I am too." She said with a smile. "How are you doing? How is the family that you nanny for?"
"I'm doing fantastic and the family I nanny for is also doing good, the kids are growing up so damn fast, I'm not ready to say goodbye to them, you know?"
"I'd love to go on another trip asap too, to be honest" Bonnie said as she smiled dreamily at the thought
"Well we're in Japan now, so is tehre anything you want to do now that we're here?"
"Hey, I think that's pretty normal, actually." He looked at Devin and smiled at her. "How are doing though? If you could pick where our next trip is, where would you pick?"
"Well I don't know, I'm not complaining about being in Japan though."
"Honestly, I agree with you on that, Devin. Life is so much better when we're away and have no worries."
"That is very damn true." Devin agreed with a smile. "Are you excited that we're in Japan, Paco?"
"Oh I so agree with you on that." She said with a smile
"Are you excited that we're in Japan for a whole month?"
Mila blinked uncontrollably because she didn't expect for her to say that. " Um-what? That I'm a fat ass, I know" she tried changing the subject. But then she mentioned a baby sitter " What? No, I'm not- I'm not pregnant. I just...I'm just hungry and can't decide on what to have," she shook her head with a slight chuckle.
"Mhm, and I'm wearing white on my wedding day because I'm a virgin." She said sarcastically, but had a smile on her lips. "You know I'm here for you, Mila, right?"
"You and me both, Devin. There's just something refreshing about being away."
"Exaclty! It's so nice to be out of town for a while and have no worries."
"Oh I very much agree! Nothing beats a vacation, especially when I barley have to pay for anything."
"You're literally a socialite, Tyler." She said with a laugh. "I feel like you can afford a trip, especially a month long one."
"I mean, if you want, we can always take a trip." Shane looked at his fiance. "We don't have to go with the whole town."
"You already know that I'd be down for that." Devin smiled at her fiance. "I think it'd be fun to take a solo couple trip."
