Me after I read LL#24, the last arc in the whole series as next issue is but an epilogue, and I realize Grimlock getting pregnant had nothing to do with the main storyline, it added humanity on Grimlock and Misfire which is nice but that was possible without out eggnancy. 

JRo made a decepticon steal a egg baby and put it inside his best buddy (who is also one of the biggest name in the whole fanchise) for no other reason to canonnize m-preg in Transformers.

Tarantulas is such a deeply tragic character and I’m very upset about him

There’s this desire to procreate which is framed in a way that’s supposed to make him creepy but I can’t help but sympathize

His greatest work, his child, was ripped away from him and his partner abandoned him to a life of torment that he was able to climb out of

It left him twisted, he had changed so that nothing could hurt him like that ever again, focusing on how the war has twisted Cybertronian society because it was all he had left to do

And he still wanted to be with the partner who hurt him because he saw it as another chance to create life, he wanted this because even though he was all but destroyed the partnership was fruitful

But he discovers that his greatest work, his son, is still alive and he goes to tell him he loves him

To tell him he never meant to leave him all alone

And he realizes that it was for the best that he didn’t raise his son, even if it would have brought him great joy. Even if it was the thing he wanted to do most in the world.

But it was enough to be able to see what a good person his son grew up to be.

His Ostaros, the life he created, his greatest work grew into something good, and that was enough

That whole exchange is just him saying “Prowl… what happened to our son? Did you ever even care about him?” and then smash cut to me looking like this

the whole fucking comic revolves around chromedome’s shitty love life it’s incredible. i’m having trouble thinking of a single major plot thread that can’t be traced to it in some way. does dark cybertron count as mtmte plot?? i think dark cybertron might be the only one

like, his shitty love life is in some way responsible for a good chunk the season one finale of robots in disguise, a comic he’s not even in

wait no. wait. dark cybertron happened because shockwave got shadowplayed, which happened because he got captured during the matrix heist by some heavies that were tipped off to chromedome’s location via stable time loop info, a loop which only occurred because brainstorm was trying to change key points in megatron’s life to stop the war from happening, which became his goal because of chromedome’s depressive spiral after rewind died, PLUS chromedome wouldn’t have been with shockwave had prowl not been trying to keep him out of the heist

dark cybertron is an indrect result of chromedome/prowl AND chromedome/rewind AND chromedome+brainstorm AND brainstorm/quark, “the universe almost ended because chromedome and brainstorm are bffs who enjoy being embarrassing gay disasters together” is a phrase that is true on two separate occasions, i’m going to fuckmign pass out
