maditorres:
“No, mom, I can’t bring her around until next weekend,” Madeline sighed into the phone as she sat down on a bench, completely missing the ‘wet paint’ sign and only realizing her mistake when she heard a snicker from a group of kids. “I’ll call you back,” she muttered, quickly ending the call before getting up, her eyes widening at the sight of the sign. “Hey!” She called out to a person walking past, turning around so her back was facing them. “Is there paint on my dress? Please tell me no, I only just got this yesterday.”
The sun was shining down on him and kids were running around completely focused on the game they were playing. For Sindri this was a perfect day and he simply wanted to enjoy it outside, far away from his empty apartment. So he moved down the street stopping whenever he saw something worth putting on a film until he heard someone talk to him. “um what?” He turned around to see her and the obvious paint on her dress. “Damn this clearly isn’t your lucky day.” Sindri furrowed his brows together before taking off his shirt to offer it to her. “Here, you can try to hide the stain with it”

Natália letout a breathless chuckle at his words. “Well, thanks. I guess we can give it ashot and see how it works out.” She gave a slight shrug, no wrong could comefrom that, right? Her eyebrows rose in amusement. “What are Balluan stones?”She asked with a slight frown, before waving a hand in front of her. “Sorry, force of habit. I’m from Brazil originally, but kind of spent a lot of timearound South America. My father was part of an extending business and we went aroundwith him, so I caught a little bit of every horror story here and there. Everheard of el chupacabra? It’s almostlike bigfoot for white people… except it eats goats?”
“There’s this myth that if you pray in front of the stone and turn it clockwise plenty of good things will happen but to curse someone you whisper the curse to the stone and turn it anticlockwise and god have mercy on whoever you’re cursing” He couldn’t help but shake his head at the things he was saying. His family, especially his mother could be quite superstitious or like Sindri had more then once explained it as being little bit crazy. Not that he didn’t appreciate the culture he came from but too much of it could drive any man insane. “Oh Brazil and South America? That sounds great but you were moving around a lot? That must have been tough, I mean I’ve only moved once in my life and let me tell you it was not easy, so I can only imagine how it must have been for you” Sindri shrugged slightly before the corners of his lips turned upwards. “No I have not heard of that thing, do you think it exists?”
julianemmerdale:
“What, you mean go to a haunted abandoned house with a total stranger and probably get all my limbs cut off from my body and have them hidden in a safe somewhere like that dude from The Lovely Bones did? Sounds like my kind of night,” he said, flashing a grin across his face for the other male. “Count me in.”
“That’s what I’m talking about! But I probably wont hide you in a safe like the creepy dude in The lovely bones because he freaked me the fuck out. But I’ve watched countless of Law and order episodes so I think I should be able to figure something out” Once he realized what he’d said to a complete stranger he couldn’t help but to laugh. “Oh wow, I’m not usually this creepy, but alright let’s go. But I’m warning you this is going to be absolutely terrifying”

Cassie’s smile broadened, practically melting at the accent, and trying to seem cool and collected despite that. A girlish giggle fell from her lips and she nodded, “What a line,” Cass breathed lowly, and considered the offer. Well, pretended to. There was no chance she’d turn it down. Especially when the image of pretending to be frightened and holding onto him came to mind. “Yeah sure, that sounds fun. I always wanted to be a ghost facer.”
“What really? I truthfully didn’t think you would agree to come with me but I’m warning you it’s going to be absolutely terrifying. The things that have happened in this house will send goosebumps down your spine” Sindri bit down on his lower lip to hide the grin that threatened to spread across his cheeks. “When do you want to leave? I mean we could leave right now if you’re free?”
dnatoliveira:
“I don’t know if being a photographer saves you from thattitle, if I’m honest.” She teased around a small smile. “Though I don’t see howI would make those pictures any better.” A small shrug was given then, thoughshe wasn’t completely against the idea. “I know ghost stories, their part of myculture and… every other culture I experienced while growing up.” As she saidthis, there was a small frown on her face, her tone making it sound like aquestion. “You should hear the stuff people come up with.”
“You really can’t see how you would make my pictures better? Well that’s a shame, but since I’m the photographer and not the ghost investigator I should know what makes makes the photographs look better and I’m telling you you’d make my pictures look much, much better” Once she mentioned the cultures she had grown up with he couldn’t help but furrow his brows together and tilting his head slightly to the side. “Darling believe me I understand. I grew up with ghost stories and folklore and a mother who curses people with her bullaun stones but tell me, where did you grow up?”
obruncgentile:
Bruno let out a small laugh, shaking his head slightly. “See, the compliment is a good way to lead this up with, but it’s way too clear I’m only getting that because you don’t wanna go alone.” He chuckled, a small raise of his eyebrow being the only indication that he was considering the proposition. “Okay, I mean, are you going to just take pictures or do you actually intend to try and contacting ghosts?”
“Okay yes there’s no way in hell I’m going to that house all by myself. Have you even heard about what supposedly happened in it?” A wicked grin appeared on his lips as he began telling him the story. “A family of five used to live there many years ago. A lovely family until every single one of them vanished up in thin air” Sindri pulled up his old polaroid camera, snapping a quick picture of Bruno before continuing. “Then after the whole town searched for them for days they were found inside the house dead... The creepy part is that they had already looked in the house, so how did the bodies end up there? And the killer? Well he was never found” Pulling up the photograph he shook it for a moment before taking a look at it. “nice” he mumbled before his eyes landed on the man before him. “Do you really think I would go there without trying to talk to the ghosts?”
camialdea:
“The ghosts don’t care about that,” she pointed out, completely serious about her fear of ghosts as well as having been taught never to mess with that kind of stuff, it never did any good. “We’re going into their home to basically mess around and they’ll know.”
“Alright, Alright maybe you’re right. I’m pretty sure my mom would turn in her grave if she would have heard what I was considering.” He’d been raised in a really superstitious home and doing something like looking for ghost in a scary old building seemed crazy to him right now. “But what if we’ll just go there and look around, no photographs, at least not inside the house?”
dnatoliveira:
“Are you some kind of paranormal investigator?” Natália askedas she finished her text before looking up at him. The cut on her lip was stillhealing though she didn’t mind it half as much as the other damage she took onher last miscarried assignment. “’Cause I’m not fond of the thought of ghosts, and there’s a chance anything that would happen in that house would come fromyour imagination being influenced by the thought of it being haunted.”
“No I’m not a paranormal investigator. I’m a photographer actually” He told her as he pulled up his favorite camera which he carried with him pretty much everywhere he went as if to proof to her that he wasn’t just another crazy person running around looking for ghosts. “and I love taking pictures of old abandoned houses but I would be lying if I told you that I’m not even slightly curious about the stories I’ve heard about the house. You should hear the stories, it will make you believe in ghosts and all that bullshit, I promise you”
camialdea:
Camila let out a loud laugh, almost snorting, as the man asked her if she’d be interested in going to a haunted house. She quickly shook her head, staring at him in disbelief. “Mijo, you’re cute and all, but I don’t play around with that stuff. Don’t mess with ghosts, they’ll get you real good.”
The grin on Sindri’s lips grew wider by each second that passed while she explained to him the reason why they couldn’t do this. “You know we could pretend that we’re doing a photo shoot completely unaware of the potential haunting and if we hear anything strange or get scratched or anything then we conveniently have a camera to film the whole thing”
“Okay I know this may be crazy or even stupid but I was wondering if you could help me with something?” The man questioned the other, the Irish accent still obvious in his voice even after all the time away from his home country. “I found this dark looking abandoned house — that I’m pretty sure is haunted, by the way. I need to take pictures of it and I think it would look thousand percent better with you in it.”
