In chapter 57, two ways for a erased memory to return are mentioned.
The first way is through a spell, when it is mentioned that memory restoration magic exists or existed, and that it is currently prohibited.
The second possibility is that the memory returns, although it's not specified how, it is said that there have been rare cases of this happening.
So that got me thinking.
Qifrey had to erase Olruggio's memory several times…
I feel that there will come a time when the memories will return, either because he has built up resistance or because the probability of a rare case of memory returning/not being erased becomes increasingly greater the more times one has their memory erased.
There is also the possibility that one of the brimmed hats will find out about and use the magic to restore Olruggio's memory.
Anyway, it seems to me that at some point the memories will return.
Whether completely or not, at a key moment or gradually.
Perhaps Olruggio will try to erase his own memories again to prevent the tree from growing in Qifrey… Perhaps the spell will lose its effect on him…
It's been a while since I've been able to write anything, it was fun to be able to write again without pressure and with these characters!

Celine text of ‘Incoming’ was all the warning Rumi had before a pink smoke appeared in their penthouse living room.
“Rumi, daughter! Princess!” Her father was in front of her in a flash, holding her shoulders, he asked with wide, desperate eyes, "Tell me it's a lie! That it was a mistake! That you're not dating HIM!"
The last word was more growled than spoken.
“Hmm… abunim?” Zoey looked as confused as Rumi was felling. “Whats happening?”
“Yeah, who dating who?” Mira raised an eyebrow, judging the man's reaction.
The three of them were having a disconnected day, just curled up on their couch eating junk food and watching video compilations about turtles and tortoises. Apparently, Zoey had met one at the temple and fallen in love with it.
Without explanation, Rumi's father had appeared out of nowhere.
That's when a video call request from Celine came through on Mira's cell phone; out of habit, the girl connected directly to the television.
“Oh, there you are!” Rumi’s mom scolded affectionately. "Couldn't you wait a little bit?"
"Sorry girls, we tried to hold him back," Min-ji shrugged, not at all sorry.
"Really? Kyung-ho, how many times have we told you not to invade the girls' space like that?" Celine was the only one of the three that was really annoyed by the man.
“Rumi….” Kyung-ho whimpered softly when his daughter didn't answer.
"Huh? Mom, what's going on?" Rumi looked aroud her father seeking some kind o explanation
"Oh? Haven't you seen the new rumor yet?" Mi-Yeong looked surprised, the girl normally spend more time on social media than the previous generation of hunters.
"What rumors?" the three girls shouted at the same time.
Kyung-ho then showed her his cell phone, which was still open to a photo. More specifically, a photo of her and Jinu during the festival, precisely from the moment when he was handing her a drink as they strolled through the stalls. They were both smiling at each other, and it really was a nice photo, but the worst part was the headline...
'K-pop royalty in a relationship with leader of an upstart idol group?'
“WHAT??” Rumi panicked.
She picked up her own phone and started searching for the tags.
And they were everywhere.
Apparently, the photo was from the original profile of the street's shopkeepers' association that organized the festival... It was supposed to be just one of several photos showing what the festival was like, something that would go unnoticed most of the time.
The problem was that the page had become extremely popular overnight.
Following the rabbit hole, Rumi discovered what really happened.
First, the small Kpop group Saja Boys, and it was funny that the boys chose the same name in this new life, which only did covers, released their first original song on the day of the festival... Soda Pop.
The music was as infectious as the music from the world where they were demons.
The festival's page released the music video with scenes recorded during that performance, probably something that was already planned...
And then Zoey shared the video on her official page.
The moment Rumi realized this, she turned to her friend, who was turning to her at the same time with the same expression of surprise.
“Oops?” Zoey spoke tremulously.
From then on, it became a snowball effect...
Fans went crazy over the video, some talking about Huntr/x promoting a sister group, others about how it was a sign that one of them was dating one of the boys. Then someone came along who already knew the Saja Boys from previous performances, information about the boys surfaced all over social media, their personal page was flooded with fans, and their following grew exponentially.…
Then, someone found the photo.
Within hours, the entire internet was talking about Jinu and Rumi dating.

“Good morning eomma…” Jinu mumbled, dragging himself through the kitchen. He was exhausted. Cleaning up after the festival was always the most tiring part; he and the others had spent the whole day helping with the cleanup, and all he wanted now was a morning off.
"Good morning, my Jinu," his mother replied, handing him a plate of food.
He hummed in thanks and started eating, his mother making company to him wile drinking her morning tea.
Its was a comfortable silence in the kitchen with a lot of time before the restaurant opening hour and Soo-jin still sleeping. Then his mother called him.
“Jinu?” She said his name in that soft voice of her, and keep talking after he looked at her. “Do you have a girlfriend?”
He choked instantly upon hearing the question. His mother had to get up to help him, and it took him a while to recover.
"Aigo, you didn't need to react like that!" his mother complained as she handed him a glass of water after he recovered.
"You surprised me, eomma" he defended himself. "May I know where that came from?"
"I spent the entire festival night receiving messages from our neighbors and friends..." she explained, showing him her phone. "It's so clear on your face how much you like her."
There's so many photos of him and Rumi… Its like it stall owner have take one to send his mother, some asking when he start dating, some saying he looked just like his father when he was still alive, some congratulations about a fine daughter-in-law his mother had…
That one makes him blush. Hard.
“So? Its your girlfriend?” His mother asked patiently.
“Oh? No! No she is just…” He stop. She was what? He dint know… Rumi was kind with her fans, right? But then all off that with the boys and the other Huntr/xs living then alone… Its looked just like a date.
Was that a date? He dint know…
“Then, perhaps a friend?” His mother offered. When he just stay in silence, brooding over that thoughts she singed exasperated. “You just like your father some times!”
“What? Why?” That break him form his thoughts.
“You think to much. Its not need to be complicated, do you like her?” She huffed, and when he try another excuse she just shushed him. “Do YOU like her?
“...Yeah.” after a moment came his week answer.
“Then tell her.” She said simply. He looked at her, all the fears of the word in his shoulder just like his father that night when he came with show tickets. “She will never know if you don’t tell, besides if she not interested the ‘no’ you already have… But the ‘yes’ you will only get if you take the first step.”
She was right, wasn't she… Jinu tough for a moment more, then getting up he decide try.
“Thank you eomma.” He said kissing her forehead.

Rumi was panicking about what to do after sending her father back to Jeju, when her phone started ringing
“Hello?“ Came a smooth voice that she missed so much.
“HI!” Ok, that came to hight, Rumi thought with herself, then trying again she said. “Hi, Jinu. How are?”
“Little bit tired after the festival cleanup.” He told her. “And you, Rumi?”
“Im fine…” She lied, Rumi was panicking about all the rumors… That she need talke with him about…
“I need to talk to you” Both of then said at same time. And that start a loop of ‘you first’ and ‘no, you first’ that ended with Rumi wining, HA!
“I just…” Jinu started after Rumi had insisted he talked first. “I really enjoy spend time with you in the festival.”
“Oh? Did you?” She bable afeter hiring that. Jinu enjoy wallking with her? Looking back, it fell just like a date… One her dreamed about before going back time, in the other realitty that he died saving her…
“Yeah…” Jinu was saying uncertainly, unknow of her thought. “I… would like if we try it again some time…”
“Really?” Rumi jumped. Was he asking her out? Its sond like that!!!
“Yes.” She could hear his smille. “I would like to go aout with you, if you…”
“YES!!!” Oh, to eagerly. “Yes. I would like going out with you to.”
“Thats… Thats good” He sound a little out of it. Then he laugh, and its was so good hearing it again. “Ah, but you wanted to talked about something?”
“Oh? Yes! We need…” Rumi though about that, theoretically the rumors just become right… What she should say…
Then A loud bang came from his side of the line and Baby's voice, or Daeun's now, exclaimed so loudly that Rumi could hear perfectly.
“We're trending!!”
The call suddenly dropped, and Rumi could imagine the phone falling from Jinu's hand... It seemed he didn't know either.
“Oh? Talking with the demon boy?” Mira make her look away from her phone where the chat with Jinu was open, and Rumi was staring in the last minutes of waiting for the other girls to finish getting dressed after their visit to the bathhouse.
“Not a demon anymore, remember?” Rumi said turning back to her phone. She dint know what to talk with him, since he just show up in her door with their delivery from a small restaurant Rumi been trying to keep contact with him…
“Yeah, its weird.” Mira wrinkled her nose. “Reincarnation wasn't supposed to be a new life? with, like, a different face? He is exactly the same!”
“Hey! Are we talking about Jinu??” Zoey came jumping with her bag.
“Rumi texting him” Mira answered smirking, Rumi turned at read to say something but Zoey was already at her side peeking at her phone.
“Oh! Oh! Did he say something new?“ The younger started speak excitedly. “Do you still asking about food recommendations? Ask about some good place that make Jjinmandu!!”
“I could go for a Tteokbokki” – Mira groaned in Rumi other side.
Food. That was the only topic they had thought of so that Rumi could start a conversation with Jinu without seeming awkward. First was about the day menu, And that's how she discovered that the restaurant he delivered to was owned by his family. Then, somehow, it evolved into recommendations for other small restaurants and street food that he also delivered.
But she had become fixated on it.
Would it be strange to suddenly ask about his day? What he likes and if he still sings?
Sighing, Rumi accepted defeat. She would ask for food recommendations again this time…
At least it was always good food.

Soo-jin was using her Oppa phone to text her friends, because her Eomma keep saying she was to young to have her on, even when everyone of her classmates have one. At least her Oppa let her use his when he dint needed it.
Then a notification appeared.
Weird.
Her Oppa was popular but he just text a small number of people beside their Eomma and the boys… And they were all helping to prepare for their street festival.
She opened just to peek, maybe he finally dating?
But its was just someone asking about food… Boring.
Then she had an idea, she suggested the person to just go to their festival that night! Oppa was always talking about marketing and get more people to came to their events.
She just sent the text when her eomma called her, making her forget about it completely.
Not until that night when Soo-Jin was waiting for her friend so they can go see her Oppa's performance at the festival. They were going to perform the new song!! She told May not to be late this time.
That's when the phone lit up with a notification, which she had with her again to keep safe during the festival!
It was the same contact again, and this time Soo-jin noticed the person's name...
No way!!
The message was a picture of their street all decorated for the festival, full of food stalls, and with text saying something about not joking about the food...
Soo-jin didn't pay attention to anything else. She recognized where the picture was and ran outside to look for who she thought it was.
Practically running over May in the process, and dragging the other girl along with her.

Rumi was practically devouring her gimbap when two kids run over her, making her fall and dragging Mira and Zoey with her.
“What was…” Rumi was grumbling when she notice the two little girl peeking at then with stars in their eyes. She see then taking a breath to scream and jumped to stop it.
“Wait! Wait!” Zoey thought the same way and was shaking her hands.
“Don't scream! Please!” Mira asked the little girls. Huntri/x love their fans, but they just wanted enjoy the festival whiteout to draw attention to them… And maybe Rumi just wanted a chance to see Jinu again.
The girl closed their months with a click and start vibrating with excitement.
Then Rumi recognized one of them.
“Soo-jin, right?” She asked the smallest on, who beamed at her. “We just visiting the festival, can you girl keep it a secret?”
“Yes!” Soo-jin agreed not so low, and her friend nodded vigorously in agreement.
“Okay…” Rumi chuckle, they are just cute.
“Oh! Soo-jin” Mira called the girl, sanding Rumi a sly side eye before asking. “Do you know where your Oppa is?”
Rumi turned red instantaneously, she told then that not way they are going to the festival…
“OH! You came to see their show??” Soo-jin friend asked enthusiastically. “Are you fans of the Saja Boys to??”

“And thank you all for coming!” Jinu was talking with the crowd after their little performance.
Its was a tradition for the five of then do a little show every year for the festival, they never considered to go bigger than that but they have a little fan-base accumulated over the years.
And their N° 1 fan was Soo-jin.
Jinu looked for his little troublemaker in the crowd, and need to have to make a double take when he sees WHO exactly was next of his sister.
Jae practically had to drag Jinu off the stage because he froze when he realized Rumi was watching their performance. They went to the sheltered, plant-filled courtyard of one of the houses on the street where they usually went after the performance, Soo-jin following them as always, but this time bringing more than just May with her.
“I didn't know the festival invitation came with a show.” Rumi commented smiling. That smile melted his brain, because he take some time to understand what just what she say.
“Invitation? What…” Jinu was just asking when Soo-jin tugged at his shirt sleeve.
“Oppa… Your phone…” She was giving the phone to him and things started to make sense.
He take the device and started looking for his texts, see what have happened when he was busy. Looking at his sister read to scold her, but the little troublemaker was already giving him her pup eyes.
Jinu sighed in defeat.
“Well glad you girl are liking it so far” He told the purple-hair girl who just smiled in response… And that must be illegal.
“We just arrived, actually.” Mira told him wille elbowing Zoey, given the younger a look that remember Jinu of Beomseok and Daeun when they are plotting something.
“Oh? Yeah!!” Zoey agread when looking at pink-haired girl. “Since you invited Rumi, why not you show her around?”
“Wait? Just me…” Rumi turned to their friends a little panic.
“That's a great idea!” Jae-Hyun clap his hand smiling at Jinu.
“But, I need to go help…” Jinu protest died when his friends talked a the same time.
“I can help eomeonim in the stall” Beomseok offered.
“I will guide the visitors through the temple.” Garan mumbled
“I'm much better than you at presenting the other attractions” Daeun shrugged “I can stay on the microphone.”
“And I'll check if anyone needs anything at the stalls.” Jae finished.
“Okay…” Jinu looked at his friends, trying understand what they plotting this time. Giving up for now, he turned at the girls “Then, I will show you three around…”
“Oh! But Mira Unnie said she was gonna teath the choreography of golden to us” May said jumping in, so different from the girl's quiet demeanor.
“Uh? Oh, Yeah! I can let our fans down” Mira agreed quickly, Soo-jin nodding furiously beside her.
“Then… Me and Zoey…” Rumi turned at her black-haired friend, but the girl jumped at Garan side hugging his arm.
“Oh! But I really wanted to see a Korean temple in a festival!” She said with bring eyes, Garan blushing just nodded at her.
And in a moment its was just him and Rumi in the courtyard.
The two looked at each other, trying to understand what had just happened, and then looked away from each other, a little awkwardly.
Jinu couldn't say who started it, but soon they were both laughing.
“Yeah, that was something…” Jinu said after a moment, Rumi turning at him still smiling… And Jinu had a problem. “So? Ready to go back to the festival?”
“Oh! Yes, I could eat something after whatever was that.” Rumi said playing with the end of her braid.
“Great! So, we can go to the stall of that gimbap place a told you about...” He told her wile taking them back to the festival...
First defeating Gwi-ma and creating the rainbow Honmoon. And now going back to the past to stop a curse to change the timeline… Though in the end they did change the timeline themselves.
The Sunlight Sisters never break up. Rumi parents never died. She never need hid her patterns…
It’s was a whole new world now.
One more simple, more happy.
But one that came whit a price. In this world Rumi never get to meet him… Because Jinu and the Saja Boys got their souls back after helping Huntri/x when they were in the past. Getting the chance to go to afterlife and reincarnate.
So all Rumi have of him was the memory of a life that isn't her anymore.
Or so she thought.
But here he was.
Expectantly the same face, same hair, same browns eyes of his human form… Wasn't reincarnation meant to be a new life? New body?
He was looking at her like he seeing a ghost and she probably has the same reaction.
Does he remember?
“Rumi?! It’s the foooood??” Zoey voice comes from inside the penthouse making her and Jinu jump.
“Hum? Oh!” Rumi stumbled over her words before answering. “Yes!! I getting it!!”
“Ah! I'm sorry!” Jinu fumbled with the delivery, them offered it to Rumi “Here is your order, thank you for choosing our place!”
“No! I’m sorry” Rumi said wile taking her and the girls food form him. But then the two fell silent again.
She didn't know what to say. She wanted to ask how he was doing, if he remembered, if he had memories of before she went back in time, of when they first saw each other, of singing together on the rooftops, of him sacrificing himself for her...
“Hum. So, have a good night.” Jinu said quick and starting going for the ground floor button
Rumi wanted scream, she just found him again! Seeing the elevator door closing she try to think something to say but her brain was struck in a loop of questions and panic.
But them a hand stopped the door when its was just finishing to close. Its open again, and Jinu looked embarrassed. Trying to look at her just to look away again.
“Look, I swear I don't usually do this kind of thing.” He started saying after taking a deep breath. “But my sister is a huge fan of yours in Hunter/x... And today is her birthday…”
Rumi wasn't proud of how long it took her to understand what he was talking about. But when she understood, everything became simpler, it was something she was used to, interacting with fans was something she had done her whole life.
“So... Can I have your autograph? Please…” Jinu finished saying, blushing. Its a good look in him, Rumi though. This was her chance!
“Actually!” She says with a smile. “I have an idea!”

Jinu was still trying to understand what just happened. Has he just meet the royalty of he kpop? What was the chances he delivery food to the Huntr/x themselves?
“Oppa! Finally!!” His sister voice break him from his thoughts when he get back to his family restaurant. “Mon dint want start without you! Even if its was MY birthday”
“Well, if only someone had remembered to close the orders at the time we agreed upon…” Jinu complain, looking to the for the blue-haired boy currently playing on his cell phone.
“You dint need answer and go.” Daeun said without looking away form his phone.
Jinu was about to throw the jacket at the other when his mother's voice came from further inside. “Boys, no fighting!! And come and help already!”
His friend gave Jinu a lazy salute and headed for the kitchen, making him wonder why he was friends with the blue-haired boy.
Interrupting his thoughts again, his sister huffed, grabbed his hand, and started dragging him to the kitchen, continuing to complain about him being the last to arrive even though he lived there.
Or trying to, considering she was only nine years old and less than half his size, having inherited her mother's height so far.
He let himself be led into the kitchen where his other annoying friends were helping Jinu's mother set the table for the small birthday party. They seemed to always be at Jinu's restaurant and house, his mother having unofficially adopted the four troublesome boys.
They followed the small woman instructions like obedient soldiers, the evening continued as usual, with them sitting down to eat whit the chaos that had followed the five of them for years. Until, for some reason, the subject of Jinu's lateness for the last delivery of the day came up again, reminding him of something very important.
“Actually, there's something I wanted to show you" He said to his sister, who peeked at him from her cake. Sending a quick message on his cell phone, and receiving a reply faster than he imagined, he initiated a video call turning his phone towards the girl.
Her reaction was immediate, the high-pitched scream she let out making the five boys flinch.
“HI! Happy Birthday!!” the Huntr/x greeted in the same time. His sister jumping up and down in her seat.
Beomseok leaned on his shoulder and asked quietly how he had managed that, the other trying peek at the phone screen. And Jinu didn't know what to say, maybe luck? But Rumi herself have offered her number.
She was kind with fans, that all. He thought. She was probably would forget about it soon… Why that make him sad he didn't want to know..

Promp - Dating Rumors for the last day!
This is supposedly a setting after the events of a long fanfic that I might one day manage to write.
If you are on a Windows 11 computer, pause everything you are doing for one minute and:
Open computer settings

Under the "related settings" tab, click "Typing" which should have a description of "spellcheck, autocorrect, text suggestions."
Turn off the AI "correct misspelled words"
and most importantly: turn off Typing Insights.

I mean, yeah, it says that..... for *now.*
It also only specifies that Microsoft themselves don't collect it, and they wouldn't have made this something that I was automatically, secretly opted in for without my knowledge if they didn't have something to be gained by me not knowing it exists!
I only found this because a cat walked on the keyboard and turned on Filter Keys and while trying to figure out why my keyboard was just making chirping noises instead of typing, I happened to click on "typing insights" by accident.
Generative AI, and especially AI that is used to "personalize" and track your activity across the web and on your computer are never going to be in your best interest, it is always going to serve these companies in whatever way will line their pockets the most, and all it takes is updating their terms of service once, and then all of that data they promised they weren't collecting suddenly all belongs to them.
