Hello again…

I’m sure y'all have noticed my absence on this platform along with my insta. My disabilities have been slowly encompassing more of my life and with some major life events happening soon (graduation and moving out) I haven’t been able to keep up on my socials at all. I have also kinda lost connection with the animal side of me. I know it’s still there but it feels like it’s behind a wall.

Anyway, I still lurk on here and on my insta, I will try my best to be back on here more regularly soon.

Things to do when i’m 18

get all the mobility aids that i need (braces, cane, etc)

buy all the alt fashion that i want

get all the sensory aids that i need (fidget toys, different clothes, etc)

get all the stuffed animals i want 

get a sunflower lanyard 

get a “please offer me a seat” badge 

get therian gear

tips for a young therian?

like freshly awakened ? :] hmmm , tbh i wouldn' t worry too much about gear and stuff like that for now or at all really if ur not up for it , it' s not "" required "" / necessary !! just if u wanna. most important thing imo would just be to figure out and understand ur type !!

maybe learning about them a bit more if yk ur type ? like their habits , watch some documentaries , learn or research their vocals , what they eat , anything u can learn ! maybe learn their behaviours and mimic them 🐾

you could also dress as the colours of ur type ! this helps me usually , mimics ur coat / feathers / scales / ect ! if u have feathers u can wear some feather accessories if u have scales u could use those glitter mist body sprays to make ur skin shiny :p u can wear fuzzy clothing or clothing w faux fur to mimic ur fur if u have it

if u are unsure of ur type , you could prolly research or just look up pictures of what u think u might be and see if u feel any sort of connection ( spiritual , species euphoria , shifts , ect ) you could also document your phantom shifts if u have any ! this could possibly help u figure out ur type too

another thing I liked doing was watching those POV videos of my type 🦴

do NOT go to TikTok for therian info / tips cuz' that place is FULL of therian misinformation !!

just focus on you and who u are for the most part :] worry about the other stuff another time good luck !! <3

We don’t have enough disabled therian representation.

It’s true. We don’t. Since the therian community is mainly online, we don’t get a lot of disabled therians. That is mainly because the algorithm pushes mainly quads and masks. It also kinda ties into my last post about the therian community being very quads and gear centered.

Many disabled people (myself included) aren’t able to do quads. And in a world that’s already not made for us, “coming out” as a therian can place unnecessary pressure on us to be able to do quads and wear gear.

I’m gonna be real with y’all, I can’t live my life without being in pain 24/7. I have multiple disabilities and while i’d love to have gear and do quads, my body just doesn’t allow it.

TLDR: even though disabled therians are underrepresented in the therian community, please don’t discount our existence.

tbh kinda a serious post

I feel like the therian community is kinda losing what therianthropy means. Esp the newer people. I’ve seen therians that wear gear be rude to therians that don’t. It was because they saw them as invalid.

Please don’t lose sight of what therianthropy actually is. And just because someone isn’t wearing gear doesn’t mean that they “aren’t a real therian” they just express themselves differently.
