Okay so here’s what I’m doing and why:
Hi, most of you online know me as Coyote, we’ll leave it at that for now. I’m a 26-year-old UK-based therian. Recently it occurred to me that there is very little actual research into the therian community, and as a result we don’t really have data to back up our experiences.
There are a lot of misconceptions about therianthropy; for example, that it’s mostly children or just a phase. Those of us in the community know that isn’t accurate, but right now it’s difficult to demonstrate that in a way that people outside the community will take seriously.
So I’ve started a research project to try and change that.
The aim of this study is to gather anonymous data about therian identity; things like age, how long people have identified this way, and the kinds of experiences people have. In order to identify patterns within the community.
This is not about proving or disproving anything, and it’s not about making anyone look ridiculous. It’s about documenting our experiences in a way that is respectful and actually useful.
If you’re a therian (or questioning / feel you relate), I’d really appreciate you taking part:
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask.
This survey is part of an independent research project aiming to provide a better understanding of therian identity from the perspective of
I wish I could live in a community of alterhumans.
Like an irl neighborhood. No fear, no judgment, we're all the same.
We greet our neighboors with howls and hoots. We'd understand each others pains and joys. And for once, we could befriend our neighbors instead of fearing their gaze.
We'd appear as we wish and we'd be understood instead of scrutinized. Together we can help each other make and repair gear, talk about our dysphoria, and be feared by the local townspeople.
"my daughter turned out just fine!" ma'am your son is curled up on his bed huffing like a dog and 'wagging his tail'. he yips when his partners message.
therians please interact
I got a large dog crate last week and I'm super excited to deck out my den. It's going to be forest themed ♡ can't wait to share it when it's set up.
As a disabled nonhuman, I'm so impressed by those of you who are able to do quadrobics.

Tips for my follow bear therians
🐻 eat based on your type! For example polar bears and brown bears mostly eat meat while black bears mostly eat plants foods to think about are: berries, fish, nuts, honey, seeds, mushrooms, ect. Unless your a bear that eats McDonald’s bags left by campers, you do you boo!
🐻 make a blanket fort/den/cave/ect. For me I personally just curl up in a weighted blanket because it makes me feel big strong and furry
🐻 in addition taking naps!
🐻 climb trees duh
🐻 go swimming! Bonus points if you have a lake or river nearby (remember to be safe tho!)
🐻 watch videos and documentaries ^^
🐻 go hiking and be outside! This bear will not be caged up
🐻 sweaters personally give me a lot of species euphoria! Any fuzzy and fluffy jackets can also include in this
🐻 kinda similar I like to wear similar colors like blacks and browns :) but for other bears this may look like white and creams
🐻 I love fishing at the nearby creek!
🐻 any kind of art makes me feel close to my theriotype! This includes collages, crochet, drawing, pottery, ect. And if you personally don’t enjoy making art you can also commission other smaller artists to draw pictures of you!
🐻 I follow the national park service and love seeing their posts about the nature and critters there!
If yall have any other ideas leave them in the comments and/or lemme know and I’ll add them in! :D

YES.

I guess one positive to not having a physical tail is my crush doesn't see it wagging everytime I see them
