Hey yall! It's me again. I seriously haven't posted since January? Dang.
I'm going to be honest, I kind of gave up on Sky and this blog. I lost all motivation to play, most of my friends I had were gone and I never got close to most of them enough to check consistently whether or not they were online.
I also felt like I had shot everything I could, which is an incredibly dumb statement. There's so much to shoot, I just need to get back into the game!
I recently played Sky with a friend who'd just downloaded the game and I instantly found my love for Sky's beauty and photographing that beauty again. So you can count that this blog will be getting some new additions soon!

Hello Sky Kids!
In the 31.5 update, we made a change to the loading screen that removed the Message of the Day. Many players told us that Sky felt a little less warm without those flavorful tips. After discussing this as a team, we agreed and started exploring ways to bring back some of that usefulness in a new form. We are happy to share that we are planning this for an upcoming update.

Photo Dump 12/14/25
Hey yall! I realized it has been about a month since I last posted one of these and I apologize. I’ve had little to no motivation to shoot and edit photos since I got sick, a slump I’ve been stuck in. However, the best course of action to get back into the groove of things when you don’t have a lotta motivation is to just do it!
I went out and got a few shots, then forced myself to not be lazy with the editing. I figured out some new techniques and I’m feeling the creative flow come back again! Enjoy!
Hidden Archives
This is a shot I got in the Season’s Archives spot in the Vault of Knowledge. I hadn’t realized that they updated it so much! I tried out some really moody lighting and coloring techniques, and I think it came out really well!
Wasteland Walls
The inspiration for this shot came to me when I was on the far left side of the starting area in Wasteland. The wall’s contrast against the sky, the illuminated path through it… it was a photo I couldn’t pass up.
Shadow Stalker
I got this shot when I was heading to Shipwreck for the first time in forever. The entrance to the place was in a high overlook, and I fell into a trance watching the krill circle and patrol around its prized possession. Luckily I managed to take a photo while entranced! I tried to use color with this photo in editing but nothing really looked different or striking enough, so I went to the tried and true method of Black and White, and that seemed to work great!

Aura farming in foggy shard wasteland
That first image has such movie shot vibes. I can hear the sand whistling past in the breeze, the faint flutter of the flag, while the two characters have some sort of dialogue. Maybe a calm before the storm type thing. Amazing shots!

you don't have to respond but y'all definitely know what you're doing, so is there anything else I can improve on? I feel like something's missing but it's definitely an improvement from my first attempt lol
I love the dye shop too! I haven’t actually thought about doing a shoot in there art all (maybe because I don’t tend to use my skykid as the subject…)
I’m actually flattered you’re asking me for advice. I can tell you’re using the rule of thirds which is awesome! Definitely adds some interest, especially when you broke it with that landscape shot!
While these shots aren’t ones I would personally take, they look good! Something I would suggest is zooming in just a tad bit more for some of them (like the middle left)
This gives an effect where everything is a little more closer together while still retaining depth of field. I don’t know the actual terminology or science behind it but it’s something I use to make everything in the shot not look so far away from the camera. I don’t really know how to explain it best but maybe try it out sometime!
Another thing you can try to elevate your photos is to edit them! The most editing I will do is usually resizing/rotating/cropping as well as color adjustments. This can alter the tone of your photos and make them more dramatic, playful, or just prettier! (Maybe I’ll do a video on how I edit my photos)
Anyways, I really like this shoot! And please know that these are really good photos and I hope you don’t seek validation from me or others. Just because I gave advice on how to improve, doesn’t discount the quality of your work!
I have not posted anything for a WHILE and that’s because I have been sick for about a week, which is the longest I’ve ever been sick before. With that came little to no motivation to live, and especially no creative motivation. I’m recovering so I should hopefully return to shooting and posting!

Hey yall I’m back!
I was VERY sick yesterday so I was absolutely conked out. I touched my phone maybe twice yesterday and for very short periods of time.
However, I live once again, and I just wanted to say how delightful it was to see all the attention my blog had gotten yesterday, especially on the video I made!
I also want to thank yall for bringing it to my attention that my entire blog has been marked mature, which is outrageous. I’m new to Tumblr so I don’t rlly know what I can do about that so if there are any steps I can take to clearing that I’d love to hear them!
