//OOC: origin post! Here’s the deets on Tim Drake

//I make character sheets ahead of time bc I’m lazy lol. The backstory is long tho ✌️

✨Trauma/Backstory✨: Born to Jack and Lyla Drake as Theodora Jane Drake though the name never felt right. Even as a little girl. Her body felt wrong in dresses and she adored being in the play clothes her nanny put her in. Those baggy shorts, tall socks, and comfy short sleeved shirts that the woman always put her in. Growing up Jack and Lyla were always gone on some trip or other leaving their child in the hands of a live-in nanny. The young child realized at a young age that she was not a girl and began asking her nanny if girls could become boys. The nanny, trying to be supportive, gave a child safe explanation to being trans and the child just knew that was right. Theodora shortened her name to Theo at first and began trying masculine pronouns and fashion. It was more comfortable to him but his name didn’t feel right still. Then came his fascination with Batman. That fueled his fires of self discovery. Theo, still testing names, began stalking Batman and Robin. Figuring out who they were within the first year of following the duo. Then Robin changed and Nightwing appeared. Another few years and that second Robin was gone but Nightwing was too old to take up the mantle again. Batman, in danger and mourning, wouldn’t take a new ward but the young child knew the man needed help. Needed a Robin. Theo, now Tim, went to Wayne manor late one night hoping to catch Bruce in the suit but instead was greeted by the infamous Wayne butler, Alfred, and was told the master of the house was out. Tim blurted out the information he’d been gathering over the years and all the butler did was solemnly nodded and led the child to the batcave. The actual batcave. Tim had no time to fanboy over the fact he was right before Alfred thrust a Robin costume into his hands and briefly filled him in on the situation Batman and Nightwing had been caught in. Tim was scared, having no training really, but he nodded obediently and went to change. Once wearing the costume Tim felt empowered and knew exactly what each gadget did so he knew he could at least free Batman and Nightwing from whatever predicament the duo were in. Arriving on the scene Tim snuck in and freed the two. Batman seemed rather displeased with him so Tim stuck to the background and tried to slip away once the fight was done but Batman told him to come with him. That meant he got to ride in the actual Batmobile! Tim almost fanboyed as he looked at all the buttons. He almost pressed them but Nightwing smacked the back of his hand and gave a warning look. Tim shrunk into the backseat and stayed silent for the remainder of the ride. Once arriving at the Batcave again Alfred waited upon their arrival. The butler’s lack of reaction set Batman off and Alfred explained that he sent the child to save them. The two argued until Batman tore off his cowl and slammed into onto the counter near the batcomputer monitor. Tim flinched at the sound, Nightwing noticed but did nothing. He couldn’t risk getting close again. Not after Jason. Batman reluctantly began to train Tim at Alfred’s request and soon Tim, now confident in his new name, became a full fledged Robin. His intelligence on parr with Riddler as he grew older. Bruce began to realize his new Robin was a bit different. He thought Tim was asthmatic with the amount of breaks the boy took though later he found out it was just binder breaks and asked Tim if he would be interested in top surgery. Around the time Bruce asked that question Tim had met Stephanie Brown and the two had begun talking. Tim, feeling disphoric, felt that top surgery was the best option. During the healing process Jason had been resurrected and came to exact his revenge while Tim was benched with the Titans. Months later Red Hood was part of the Batfam? Or at least at war with them because he should be part of the family. Tim was confused at the. Bruce, the amazing man he had been during Tim’s transition, had helped Tim legally change his name even with all the stress so Tim was officially Timothy Jackson Drake. Unofficially Timothy Jackson Drake-Wayne.

Tim groaned at the fact he had to leave Gotham for a work trip. He hated work trips. Especially when it was business with Luthor.

Tim’s dress shoes clicked softly on the marble floor of the Lex Corp building. The gaudy greens and golds an assault on the Gothamite’s eyes. He knew which room he was to go to but he’d gotten here early. Maybe snooping around wouldn’t be such a bad idea.

He’d regret this later but Tim decided snooping was a good way the pass the time. Even at home.

He just prayed no one interrupted his exploration.
