It is better to be hated by the world, as a child of God, than to be loved by a finite world and lose an eternal inheritance.

Remember, 1 Peter 1:4 says "…an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.”

and Matthew 16:26 says “What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world yet forfeits his soul?”

Do not be dismayed, brothers and sisters, if the Progressive world scowls at you and call you bigoted, hateful, backwards, and prejudiced, for simply pointing out scripture; for quoting the gospel; for reminding the people of the Bible's teachings; for explaining that which the prophets and the apostles taught.

1 John 3:13 says "Do not be surprised, brothers, if the world hates you." for it, too, hated the Saviour.

The blind who bask in sin will not care if you outline clearly the differences between Old Testament civil laws, ritual purity, the eternal (unchanging) moral laws, and the new covenant in Christ of the New Testament.

But it is still your duty to speak. The faithful will know the shepherd's voice, and will come forth.

The adversary causes the spiritually frail to stumble and hate the truth.

Do not hate them for it.

Wait patiently and try again. For to try - even if you are scorned - is simply an expression that you love your brothers and sisters enough to want to see them reach heaven as well.

This was a post that points out that we often quote Jesus saying "Love thy neighbor" but treat "Sin no more" as if He never rebuked sins? It's not a personal attack - you can check the post yourself - but, hey, if it struck a nerve, then, yay. Not my fault.

ooohhh the beautifully poetic irony of this one: a post, ironically, warning Christians that it's better to be hated by the world and loved by the Lord, than vice versa. The world crucified a perfect man - it's bound to hate any bit of the Scripture you utter. This wasn't even aimed at the LGBT community 😂 this was literally a reminder for DEVOUT CHRISTIANS to not be surprised when them spreading the gospel is met with hate. Thank you for proving my point, buddy. Afterall, John 15:18 - “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you."

This was a reblogged post about unloved animals - like snakes, frogs, spiders. etc. 😂😂😂 not my fault if you think of yourself as an animal. But apparently it's triggering to see posts that support these unloved animals? It's wrong for a Christian to remind others than these animals are deserving of care and respect because they, too, are God's creations? Is that a personal attack for you? ooohhhh, I'm sorry :<

David, in Psalm 23 says, "I fear no evil for You are with me."  In the valley, David the shepherd was exposed to threats, fears and dangers. David was fearless because he knew his Lord was with him. For David, the presence of his Shepherd was a comforting assurance of the Lord’s faithful care. David finds rest, peace and comfort in the presence of the Lord.   As anxieties, fears and threats continue to rise, we can find great comfort in stepping out in faith, confident that God is with us. Jesus promised, “I will never leave you or forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5). The presence of the Lord is the one thing that this world cannot take away from us, He is with us always even unto eternity. Only when we are secure in the knowledge that our Good Shepherd is with us, can we confidently say, “I will fear no evil.”

Heaven - for the faithful in Christ - can be best envisioned by humbling ourselves, first, into the innocence of a child...

What makes a child happy? What makes a child laugh? What does a child look forward to? What does a child look for in a new friend? What does a child love about their current friends?

Be as innocent as a child.

Imagine the mirth when you run and play and laugh, unbothered by the turmoil of a corrupted world.

That, right there, is the joy every man, woman, and child, will experience in heaven and in the world after the Second Coming.

Continually.

In utter restored perfection, and in the closest possible proximity to the Father. No more shall we fear death,

pain,

injury,

sickness,

separation from those we love and cherish.

to be honest, we try to imagine heaven too often through the eyes of adults. Heck, even through the eyes of adults who don't even believe in heaven or actually actively despise the idea of religion or God. So we end up with "heaven probably has slaves to serve me. lol"

limits on vengeance Exodus 21:23-25 : "eye for eye…"; this is a limit on retaliation, not a license for endless revenge.

protections for the poor Leviticus 19:9-10 : leave gleanings of field and vineyard for the poor and the foreigner. Deuteronomy 24:19-22 : leave overlooked sheaves, olives, and grapes for the travelers, foreigners,, fatherless, widows. etc..

concern for foreigners Exodus 12:49 : one law for the native-born and for the stranger/sojourner. Leviticus 19:33-34 : do not mistreat the foreigner; love him as yourself. Deuteronomy 10:18-19 : God loves the foreigner, giving him food and clothing; therefore Israel must love the foreigner.

honest weights and measures Leviticus 19:35-36 : no dishonesty in measuring length, weight, or quantity; use honest scales and weights. Deuteronomy 25:13-16 : do not have differing weights and measures; use a full and honest standard.

concern for labourers Leviticus 19:13 : do not oppress your neighbor; do not keep back a hired worker’s wages overnight. Deuteronomy 24:14-15 : do not oppress a poor and needy hired servant; pay him the same day. Leviticus 25:39-43 : a poor Israelite who sells himself is not to be treated as a slave but as a hired worker until Jubilee.

rest for laborers and even animals Deuteronomy 5:12-15 : Sabbath rest applies to sons, daughters, male and female servants, ox, donkey, livestock, and the resident foreigner. > Every 7 years, the land rests; fields lay fallow for a year. What grows naturally without the farmer, shall be for the foreigners, the travelers, the poor. etc.

ADULTERY: Exodus 20:14 : "You shall not commit adultery." Leviticus 20:10 : if a man commits adultery with another man’s wife, both the adulterer and adulteress are liable. Deuteronomy 22:22 : same principle again: both parties are accountable.

BETROTHAL / violation of a pledged woman Deuteronomy 22:23-24 : if it is treated as consensual with a betrothed woman, both are held accountable. Deuteronomy 22:25-27 : if the man forces her in the countryside, only the man is punished; “do nothing to the young woman.” That is a huge distinction.

Incest and other forbidden sexual unions Leviticus 18:6-18 : incest-prohibitions Leviticus 18:20 : adultery with a neighbor’s wife. Leviticus 18:23 n' Exodus 22:19 : bestiality forbidden.

tldr; marriage must be honored, (a adult woman can refuse betrothal before it happens because, by law, marriage requires consent from both man and woman; a woman's consent matters. So, before everything is completed, she can say NO. But once valid betrothal existed, however, it has be ended legally.) BOTH adulterers - man and woman - are to be stoned. Not just the woman, you goombas.., coercion is distinguished from consent, seduction carries responsibility, sexual exploitation is condemned, certain unions are forbidden, (In rabbinic law, a minor girl married off by her mother or brothers after her father’s death could later annul that arrangement through mi’un when she came of age.) and men are repeatedly held accountable, not treated like horny weather patterns.

care for the disabled Leviticus 19:14 : do not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block before the blind.

judicial standards requiring witnesses Leviticus 19:15-16 : no injustice in judgment; do not be partial; judge your neighbor righteously; no slander. Deuteronomy 16:18-20 : appoint judges; judge righteously; no perversion of justice, no partiality, no bribes. Deuteronomy 17:6-7 : no death sentence on the testimony of one witness; two or three witnesses required.
