Prayer request: That these powerful countries find sense and humanity to not lead millions into a war majority of us don’t want. The people just want human rights and community. Lord, we cry out for peace without more destruction. Hear us cry for mercy.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him won’t perish but will have eternal life”
-John 3:16
It’s crazy to think that our savior was once a small bean
Feeling like crying over the fact that I’m 18 tomorrow. I’m not ready for this. I barely handle school so idk how college is gonna go, I’ve never had a job, I’m bad with money, if I’m honest I likely have an ED but I’m not ready to recover yet, I nearly have mental breakdowns trying to cook & my social skills are terrible & I have social anxiety, I still only have my learners, my room is never clean & I’m even procrastinating my homework right now to write this. I just want to be 13 reading Creepypasta in my room again.
My birthday’s soon, hoping that I get some more ✨💕🖤obsidian and rose quartz!💕✨ 😁
Some people in my life that I’m close to agree with RFK’s actions around autism… I feel so betrayed 💔
Look, as a Christian I am against violence, but as a person with high masking autism, I am this close to smacking the next person who calls someone else autistic as an insult around me because they don’t realise that I’m autistic.

All my homies hate PETA.
To clarify: “exotics owners” does not refer to people who own animals completely unsuited to be pets (big cats, primates, etc). In the vet world, anything that’s not a dog, cat, or farm animal is called an exotic, even something as mundane as a guinea pig. PETA hates pet ownership in general, but they’re especially hostile toward anything non-traditional, even if it’s completely possible to house ethically, like a ball python or bearded dragon.
So if you own a corn snake, congratulations, you’re an exotics owner and PETA has written an article on how terrible you are.
Since this post is getting a ton of notes again and everyone is misunderstanding what I meant by “exotics.”
PETA kills cats and dogs without trying to adopt them out because they think being owned by a human is a fate literally worse than death. They kill thousands of animals. They've been in trouble for luring a kid's pet dog off her porch with treats and then killing it that same day. PETA is the opposite of what they claim to be
There’s something so beautiful about trees growing alongside railroads and plants sprouting in the holes in roads. God, the artist, is painting over the holes in humanity’s paintings with the art of his creation.
You don’t have to be afraid of God. The true God, Jesus Christ, is the most loving and tender. He is not like the judgmental, hateful Christians you’ve encountered. Please, give Him a chance. He is everything good you’ve ever wanted. When you learn what you mean to Him, you will find a peace beyond this world. He loves you more than anyone or anything ever could.
The fact that Dante created the most popular image of the afterlife with absolutely no theological basis for it will still be the funniest thing to me
Church: Heaven is eternal connection with God, while Hell is total separation from Him. Anything else is only speculation.
Dante: Actually Hell has layers like an onion, and the devil is big and mean and also frozen. People are fighting and there’s a mountain to get to Heaven and a nice place for babies. Also I know this because I went there with my friend :)
Dante: I had a dream where I astral projected into hell with the famous poet Virgil who I am totally Best Bros with. I wrote a poem about it if you wanna read it idk
Several Popes: Thank you king I am commissioning fan art of you

Update: this is the best post I've ever made because everyone is sharing their Warm Beverage recipes in the notes. Go check the notes for more Warm Beverages That Will Fix You.
Have you ever tried the korean cucumber salad? A few days ago I've made it for the first time and I'm currently OBSESSED with it ^^ Today I wanted to at least try to make a proper meal out of it and personally I think it came out great! Here's the recipe:
100g of konjac noodles - 9kcal
127g of cucumber - 18kcal
0.5tsp of soy sauce - 2kcal
1tsp of Gochujang paste - 20kcal
2 cloves of garlic (minced) - 15kcal
0.5tsp of chili pepper powder - 0kcal
0.5tsp of vinegar - 0kcal
(TOTAL: 64 calories!!)
Cut up your cucumber, place it into a bowl, rub it with salt and put in the fridge for 30-60minutes. Then get the cucumber out of the fridge and rince it with water at least 3 times. In a seperate bowl, mix your soy sauce, garlic, chili, Gochujang, vinegar and a little bit of water(the original recipe asked for chili/sesame oil but I replaced it with water) in order to make the sauce. Prepare the noodles according to the package and add it to the cucumber, then pour in your sauce and mix well. Enjoy!!
(Just a reminder that you DO deserve to eat, you NEED to eat to survive and function properly, you are beautiful just the way you are and you don't need to change anything about you and your body <3 I know how dangerous eating disorders are and how they can ruin your body. I know how hard recovery can be, so please don't force yourself and take it one step at a time. Eating disorders are NOTHING to brag about and I'm not romantizing them in any way. I'm just posting simple recipes while learning how to cook. Please stay safe <333)
reading a paper on quality of life among 45-to-70-year-olds with Down syndrome:
“Individuals expressed a desire to be allowed to go to bed when they wanted to.”
Imagine.
I lived in a room and board that failed the burrito test. (”If you’re not allowed to get up in the middle of the night to microwave a burrito, you live in an institution.”) No one stopped me from going to bed, but they did tell me I had to have my lights out by 10, and that I had to be out of the house by 10 the next morning. When I complained to my outpatient program that I needed more help than I was getting, they threatened me with board and care, where my cell phone would be taken away and I would lose contact with the outside world. My case manager sounded so damn smug, like he had caught me out, when he said, “if you’re really as helpless as you say, then you need to be in a board and care.” Like my only options were struggling to do things I couldn’t do, or surrendering my life to an institution.
When I tried to talk about these things with other people, they always rationalized it away. (I told my dad once that my caseworker was reading my e-mails as I wrote them, demonstrating extreme disrespect for my privacy, and he said, “Well, she’s probably making sure you don’t use the internet to goof off.” I was 22 years old.)
People tend to mock the idea that telling an adult when to go to bed, when to eat, etc., is a human rights violation, even though they would find it outrageous and absurd if anyone came into their lives to do the same thing to them.
And this is what people seem to think when they tell disabled activists we’re just not disabled enough to understand that some people really do need to be locked up and deprived of all autonomy.
Here’s the paper:
https://library.down-syndrome.org/en-us/research-practice/06/3/quality-life-ageing-down-syndrome/
They don’t want *any* activists for mentally/developmentally disabled people. If you’re able to advocate for your rights, you’re not “disabled enough” - and if you were disabled enough you wouldn’t be able to advocate for your rights.
I never thought I’d talk about Israel vs Palestine on this blog, but here we are:
Something I’ve noticed online recently, is a rise of hatred towards Israel, as in not the government or it’s leaders, but the literal country itself, as tumblr user do not seem to realise that the citizens of a country do not often have control over what their government does. This has increased to the point that tumblr literally has #nazi Israel as a disgusting tag. This terrifies me on the behalf of Jewish people in my life, as I believe we may be seeing another rise in antisemitism, which is horrific due to the millions of innocent Jewish people who could be affected. It is justified to hate Israel’s government, but please do not extend that righteous anger towards the citizens of that country dealing with living in a war.
The Power of Intercessory Prayer: A Simple Way to Lift Others to God
Prayer is a powerful tool—one we often overlook in the busyness of our lives. For a young mother with two kids, struggling to keep the house in order, maintain friendships, and still find a way to pray, the challenges are real. Yet the Bible shows us that even in our busiest, most stressful moments, intercessory prayer can be transformative. It takes us out of our own worries and helps us focus…
