Kintsugi

Your smile is quite enchanting, we conversed with our eyes, my mind playing tricks everyone wondering how we'd become close, so quick I don't just want you, no- you're an obligation, a desideratum, for I need you so. Mending my broken edges like kintsugi Your Midas touch running all over me.

Would you look back at me O Orpheus? Or would you just walk away, making a secret of us? Or would you fight the heavens and the earth and more? Or would this be the last time, I'm crashing on your shore? Mending my broken edges like kintsugi Your Midas touch running all over me.

Maybe you're the drug my addicted persona seeks or you're the alcohol my drunk phantoms need maybe you'll never love me the way I love you or maybe you will, and turn my life golden from melancholic blue and I will change myself- all for you, can't you see? Summer

Summer reminds me of you,

and the fun we had, the things we used to do.

Now I'd be lucky if I see you after a decade or two,

but the feelings I had for you, I won't deny, were true.

so every summer I wrote a postcard to you,

hoping one day you'd reply saying "me too".

But now, this is the last postcard, from me to you.

Ghost of you

How do I move on when I see you everyday?

You were the reason I saw sun amidst the clouds,

now I'm reminded of you when I remember things you'd say,

"How will I survive without you?", I cry out.

The rain has been pouring since you met me,

but you brought an umbrella, and stood there.

No words, only held hands, can't you see?

how hard it is to move on, when you're acting carefree.

I'm sorry I tried to leave I didnt mean to,

now I stand alone in the rain.

I'll still, even if you think I can't and won't, love you,

but you were the reason I smiled, and I gave you hell.

I'm sorry, my love, if I wasn't enough

maybe too much of me is your kyrptonite.

I'm sorry, if loving me was tough,

I'll just sleep beside your ghost tonight.

Hope when you listen to her songs, you think of me

It's crazy how a ten minute song reminds me of you,

makes me wish things could go back the way it used to,

but the last few weeks have been hell because of you,

I've been writing poetry about you all the damn time,

you pick up the call, cant hear you on the line,

I thought after leaving you, I'd be fine,

too bad im always wrong now I'm losing my mind.

Your touch brought me back to life,

now when I close my eyes I'm haunted by your smile,

I never knew it would be our last goodbye,

so I cry myself to sleep at night,

to forget all the pain you caused,

it was me and our love that you tossed

out the back door with a frown,

and now everytime I see you I breakdown.

And yet I'd want you to look back at me,

whenever I read that book, I struggle to breathe,

I promised that your secrets I shall keep,

but I hope when you listen to her songs, you think of me.

& truthfully i spent most of my life wanting to write like those restless white men like bukowski’s unique brand of sadness so permeable i could smell it if i put my face to the paper & truthfully i spent most of my life wanting to be bleak by nature to write about trees shorn of leaves so intuitively understood in my desolation though i don’t know if it would save me to make my misery nameless & abstract & able to disappear into the ink & it’s mostly because i don’t think that sort of torment belongs to me the lethargic sort i mean i thought i was supposed to make something useful from my sorrow take the needle & thread & sew the gap together & truthfully i spent most of my life wanting to be visible but only in the ways i could control i wanted to be a beautiful girl wasting away on someone’s leather couch eating only the air & didn’t those white men have wives & children & families how did they afford to lock themselves in a room for hours on end drunk on bottom-shelf liquor & truthfully i wanted my torment to be tangible but nothing else i wanted to ask CAN YOU SEE ME at the top of my lungs & hear someone shout I’M RIGHT HERE back at me sweep their tender breath over my stammering nerves i wanted to write things falling from the sky i wanted to write love into existence i wanted to write my depression into just a bad dream a bad dream a bad dre]

I said to my sister "Forever is a lie" and her reply was something that struck me, I stood there for 5-10 sec, completely blank..She said and I quote,

I haven't gotten over it and I'm still speechless..

Worst Mistake

I showed up at your party,

people were having fun.

I met your friends, they didn't like me,

I stood by myself under the sun.

You mother introduced me to her, I recognized her name.

She seemed humble and kind,

always lingered around me, I didn't mind.

But what came after, felt like I was playing the devil's game.

Your mother prayed you two get back together,

I didn't know, heard from your friends.

Your eyes didn't level up to mine, you knew you comitted the crime,

I'm still waiting for you to call, are we at the end?

Holding your hand made me feel alive,

and now you're presented with a choice you have to make.
