"No matter where we go, we always find our way back." Happy Earp Sister Sunday to the best fandom out there. Sending peace and good vibes to all my wonderful Earpers today! ✌️🍷
So, grab your donuts and whiskey, and have an amazing, peaceful day. What are your favorite Earp sister moments? 👇 Drop them below! ✌️
Don’t let his crankiness fool you. This ‘Karabast’-spouting alien is one of many Star Wars rebels with a heart of gold.
Why Wynonna Earp Will Always Have My Heart:
There are shows you watch… and then there are shows that become part of who you are. For me, Wynonna Earp is absolutely the latter. Every time I revisit this series, I’m reminded why it grabbed me so completely from the very first episode: the characters, the story, the cast, the humor, the heart all of it blends into something truly special. Something that sticks with you long after the credits roll.
A Story That Balances Chaos, Heart, and Pure Fun:
At its core, Wynonna Earp is a wild supernatural western, but it’s also so much more. It’s a story about legacy, trauma, redemption, found family, and fighting like hell for the people you love. It’s messy in the best way — unpredictable, emotional, hilarious, and heartfelt all at once.
The show never shies away from big feelings or big stakes. It can make you laugh out loud one minute and punch you right in the heart the next. That balance is rare, and it’s one of the reasons the series feels endlessly rewatchable.
Characters You Fall in Love With Instantly:
This is where Wynonna Earp truly shines. Every character feels alive, layered, and unforgettable.
Wynonna: chaotic, vulnerable, fierce, hilarious. She’s one of the most human heroes TV has ever given us.
Waverly: the heart of the show, full of warmth, curiosity, and quiet strength.
Nicole Haught: loyal, brave, grounded, and one of the best portrayals of a steady, supportive partner.
Doc Holliday: charm, complexity, swagger, and centuries of emotional baggage wrapped into one iconic character.
Jeremy, Nedley, Kate, Rosita, Dolls: every single one adds something unique and meaningful to the story.
This cast of characters feels like family — messy, loving, flawed, hilarious, and fiercely loyal. You don’t just watch them… you root for them, you worry about them, you celebrate them.
A Cast That Brings Magic to Every Scene:
The actors behind these characters deserve endless praise. Melanie Scrofano, Dominique Provost‑Chalkley, Katherine Barrell, Tim Rozon, and the rest of the cast bring such authenticity and chemistry that you can’t help but get pulled into their world.
They make the humor sharper, the emotional moments deeper, and the relationships richer. You can feel how much they care about the story and about each other — and that energy radiates through every episode.
And Then Came the Movie… and It Was Everything:
When the Wynonna Earp movie arrived a couple years ago, it felt like a gift to the fandom a chance to revisit these characters, this world, and this energy we love so much. It captured the spirit of the series perfectly: heartfelt, funny, emotional, and full of that Earp magic.
It wasn’t just a continuation it was a celebration. A love letter to the fans and to the story that meant so much to so many.
Why I’ll Always Love This Series:
Because Wynonna Earp isn’t just entertainment. It’s comfort. It’s joy. It’s a wild ride with characters who feel like old friends. It’s a story that embraces weirdness, vulnerability, humor, and heart with no apologies.
I love the entire series every season, every arc, every chaotic twist and I love the movie that kept the spirit alive. This world is one I can revisit anytime and feel right at home.
Wynonna Earp is special. And it always will be.
The Razor Crest:
Filmmakers and Industrial Light & Magic married old-school modelmaking and cutting-edge digital technology to bring Din Djarin’s iconic ship
Clan of Two-Why The Mandalorian & Grogu Soars:
The Mandalorian and Grogu absolutely delivered for me. From the very first scene, the story moved with a confident, fluid momentum that never let up. It’s wall‑to‑wall action, but never at the expense of heart or character the balance is spot‑on.
And I have to say it: Rotta the Hutt completely stole the show. Every time he appeared, the entire movie seemed to tilt toward him. I didn’t expect to walk out with a new favorite character, but here we are. Rotta is a star.
Grogu, of course, was his usual incredible self expressive, funny, powerful, and endlessly charming. And Embo was a standout too, bringing a presence that made every scene he touched feel bigger and sharper.
Honestly, I don’t have a single complaint. The pacing, the character moments, the action sequences, the emotional beats everything clicked. This film reminded me why I love Star Wars storytelling when it’s firing on all cylinders.
A fantastic ride from start to finish. Five stars.

Best Friends Forever:
"A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out."
"A true friend is someone who thinks that you are a good egg, even though he knows that you are slightly cracked."
"A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself."
"If I could be half the person my dog is, I'd be twice the human I am."
"I have found that when you are deeply troubled, there are things you get from the silent devoted companionship of a dog that you can get from no other source."
Forever and ever
"Where's my dog?"
Holy Sh*t.. I knew it.. Squirrels are Superheroes!!🦸🐿️
Night of the Comet – A Cheesy, Charming, Comet‑Powered Time Capsule:
Some movies don’t just entertain you they become part of your personal timeline. Night of the Comet is one of those films. Every time I revisit it, I'm not just watching a cult classic… I'm stepping right back into 1984, sitting in the theater as a kid, soaking in that perfect blend of sci‑fi cheese, neon apocalypse, and teen‑hero swagger that only the 80s could deliver.
This movie feels like the decade itself: bright, weird, funny, a little scary, and totally unpretentious. The comet wipes out most of humanity, leaving behind dust, zombies, and two sisters who are way more prepared for the end of the world than anyone has a right to be. It’s part horror, part comedy, part sci‑fi, part mall‑culture time capsule and somehow it all works.
And then there’s Catherine Mary Stewart. For me, she wasn’t just the lead she was one of my first big 80s crushes. She’s confident, cool, funny, and effortlessly iconic. Her presence is a huge part of why this movie still hits the way it does.
I've mentioned before that the opening of this film might’ve planted the seed that eventually led me to becoming a projectionist and honestly, that tracks. Night of the Comet feels like a movie made for people who fall in love with theaters, film reels, and the magic of movies. And the fact that I went on to work as a projectionist for AMC for nearly a decade, and then another 19 years part‑time at a second run movie theater… that’s the kind of full‑circle story that makes this movie even more special.
Night of the Comet isn’t perfect it’s better than perfect. It’s fun. It’s weird. It’s unapologetically 80s. And for me, it’s a lifelong companion that still glows like that comet streaking across the sky.
Skeleton Crew Revisited-The Disney+ Gem I Can’t Stop Watching:
Every time I revisit Skeleton Crew, it hits that magical Star Wars sweet spot all over again. It’s one of those rare Disney+ series that doesn’t just hold up it gets better with every rewatch. The heart of that comes from the characters: Wim, Fern, Neel, and KB form one of the most lovable, balanced, and emotionally resonant ensembles in modern Star Wars storytelling. Their chemistry is effortless, their growth is rewarding, and their dynamic feels like classic Lucas‑era adventure filtered through the warmth of Amblin‑style kid‑driven sci‑fi.
Nick Frost’s SM‑33 is exactly the kind of character Star Wars thrives on quirky, funny, unexpectedly heartfelt, and instantly iconic. He brings that perfect blend of humor and charm that makes the galaxy feel lived‑in and unpredictable.
And then there’s Jude Law as Jod Na Nawood absolutely incredible. He’s the emotional engine of the show, constantly shifting between mentor, mystery, and menace. You like him, then you hate him, then you’re not sure what to feel at all… and that’s the brilliance of his performance. It’s layered, unpredictable, and deeply compelling.
It makes total sense that this has become one of if not the favorite Star Wars Disney+ series for me. It’s adventurous, heartfelt, funny, beautifully shot, and packed with that sense of wonder that keeps you coming back over and over and over again. Skeleton Crew isn’t just rewatchable… it’s comfort Star Wars.
A Brutal, Fan‑Focused Blast That Levels Up the Franchise:
Just like the first one, I loved this movie. If Mortal Kombat (2021) was a strong reboot, Mortal Kombat 2 feels like the moment the franchise fully steps into its power. It’s bigger, bloodier, funnier, and packed with the kind of fan‑favorite characters that make MK feel like MK.
One of the best parts is the introduction of Kitana and Johnny Cage both handled with the kind of energy and respect longtime fans have been waiting for. Kitana brings that perfect mix of elegance and danger, and Johnny Cage is exactly the chaotic, charismatic show‑off you want him to be. Their presence makes the world feel richer and more complete.
And then… the return of Kano.
This version of Kano is the best one yet. Josh Lawson is just on another level here he makes it impossible not to love Kano. He’s hilarious, unpredictable, and steals every scene he walks into. It’s one of those performances where you find yourself grinning the moment he shows up because you know something wild is about to happen.
The fights are sharp, stylish, and full of personality. The story moves faster and hits harder. And the character development just like in the first film continues to be one of the strongest parts of this new MK era. These characters feel lived‑in, connected, and worth rooting for.
Overall, Mortal Kombat 2 is everything you want from a sequel: more characters, more world‑building, more fun, and a whole lot more Kano. It’s a blast from start to finish, and it proves this franchise is absolutely heading in the right direction.
My Annual 4th of July Classic 🦈:
There’s something magical about sticking to a tradition, and mine is one of the best: firing up Jaws every 4th of July. Even if the holiday feels like just another day, this movie transforms it into something special. Spielberg’s 1975 masterpiece doesn’t just hold up it thrives with every rewatch. The tension, the pacing, the characters, the iconic score… it’s cinematic lightning in a bottle. 🦈
What makes this tradition so perfect is that Jaws never gets old and never will. It’s one of those rare films where every frame feels intentional, every moment builds character or suspense, and every scene reminds you why Spielberg is a master storyteller. The film still grips you, still surprises you, still pulls you into Amity Island like it’s your first time. 🦈
And honestly? The best thing about the 4th of July is Jaws. It’s, in a weird way comfort, nostalgia, craftsmanship, and pure movie magic rolled into one. 🦈
Supergirl (2026) – A Powerful, Heartfelt Triumph for the DCU:
Wow. Just like Superman (2025), I LOVED this movie. James Gunn clearly has the DCU on the right path, and Supergirl is another shining example of how much heart, character, and pure cinematic joy he’s bringing to this new era.
Milly Alcock is phenomenal. She brings everything you’d want from Kara Zor‑El heart, warmth, vulnerability, and that perfect edge that makes her stand apart from her cousin. She feels real, she feels heroic, and she feels alive in every scene. It’s one of those performances where you instantly think, “Yep, that’s my Supergirl.”
And Eve Ridley as Ruthye… absolutely amazing and downright adorable. She’s not just a side character she’s integral to the emotional core of the story. Her presence gives the film a unique charm and grounding that makes the adventure feel even richer.
Then there’s Jason Momoa as Lobo, the cherry on top. Finally seeing a live‑action Lobo and having Momoa absolutely own the role is such a thrill. He’s chaotic, hilarious, intimidating, and somehow lovable all at once. And yes… Krypto steals every moment he’s in. Adorable doesn’t even begin to cover it.
As for the chatter about “Man of Steel vibes”? Honestly, I don’t get it. I must’ve watched a different movie, because the tone, spirit, and emotional energy all scream Superman (2025) to me. Bright, hopeful, character‑driven the exact direction Gunn has been building.
I was not ready for the emotional gut punch this film gave me, yes there were some moments I need some tissues.
Overall, I loved this film just as much as Superman (2025), and I cannot wait to see where James Gunn takes us next. The DCU feels alive again, and Supergirl is another triumphant step forward.
From Trailer Park to the Stars-Celebrating The Last Starfighter:
Continuing my journey through the 1980s movies that somehow slipped past me, I finally sat down and watched The Last Starfighter. Just like Supergirl, this is another one that completely flew under my radar back in 1984, and honestly, I'm shocked I missed it.
Because after finally watching it, I can confidently say this movie would have been right in my wheelhouse as a kid.
You've got space battles, aliens, video games, adventure, and a regular kid getting swept up into an incredible galactic conflict. Basically, it's a checklist of everything my nerdy younger self loved. The premise is simple but brilliant, a teenager becomes so good at an arcade game that he discovers it was actually a recruitment tool for real starfighter pilots. That's the kind of wish-fulfillment fantasy that every kid who spent hours in front of an arcade cabinet dreamed about.
Sure, some of the effects show their age, but there's a charm to them that I couldn't help but appreciate. The movie has that unmistakable 80s sense of wonder and optimism that's hard to find today. It never takes itself too seriously, and that's part of what makes it such a fun ride.
And let's be honest, it didn't hurt that the movie starred one of my biggest 80s movie crushes, Catherine Mary Stewart. Seeing her pop up in this was definitely an added bonus.
What surprised me most was how much heart the film has. Beneath all the spaceships and laser blasts is a story about growing up, taking chances, and discovering you're capable of more than you ever imagined.
No, it's not a perfect movie. It's not trying to be. But it's exactly the kind of fun, imaginative sci-fi adventure that made the 80s such a special era for genre films. I'm just glad I finally got around to watching it, even if it took me more than forty years to get there.
Sometimes revisiting the movies you missed is just as rewarding as revisiting the ones you grew up with, and The Last Starfighter turned out to be a hidden gem that absolutely hit my nostalgic sweet spot.
I give it 4 out of 5 stars. It may have arrived decades late for me, but it delivered exactly the kind of 80s sci-fi adventure I wish I had experienced as a kid. 🚀🎮⭐
Whiskey, Wit, and Whoop‑Ass -Celebrating Wynonna Earp-Vengeance:
Ever since this film dropped on Tubi back in September 2024, I’ve watched it at least once a month and honestly, it never gets old. As a huge fan of the series, I went in with high expectations, and Vengeance absolutely delivered. It feels like a true continuation of everything that made Wynonna Earp special: the attitude, the heart, the humor, and the wild supernatural chaos we all fell in love with.
This movie is an awesome addition to the franchise, and it reminded me exactly why us Earpers have stayed so loyal over the years. The cast slipped back into their roles like no time had passed, and the story hit that perfect balance of nostalgia and fresh energy.
I’m really hoping this is just the beginning whether it’s more movies or even another season (or two!) on Tubi. The world of Wynonna Earp still has so much left to explore, and Vengeance proves there’s plenty of life left in this franchise.
If you loved the series, this movie is a must‑watch. And if you’re a new Earper… well, welcome to the addiction.
