Vacation all I ever wanted...

I'm beginning to understand the lyrics, "Mom and dad can hardly wait for school to start again!" Dad and dad in our case, but you get my drift. I need a vacation from their vacation. I've seen so many ninja turtles I'm changing my name to Raphael. We've had a good break. First Christmas without Aaron's mom, every bodies hangin in there. Happy New Year! Caleb, Aaron, C & J

Aaron has been on a business trip for 4 days! I'm picking him up tonight. The boys are spending the night at a friends and I have plans for my husband. I've been on a diet of pineapple for the last 3 days... Just sayin

A candle in the wind.

Aaron's mom passed away 2 weeks ago. We're all trying to deal with it. The boys are struggling big time trying to wrap their heads and their hearts around the concept of death. Aaron and I have had conversations with them that have been good but we're looking for resources. Do any of you know any helpful books or videos dealing with grief for kids (4&6)? I'm reminded of Sir Elton's song for Princess Diana, "Your candle burned out long before your legend ever did." Goodbye for now Sarah Louise.
