Not one of the 43 but equally important is JENNIFER AVERY, they are a FIELD JOURNALISTand 24 years old. SHE comes off as MOTIVATED but also ARROGANT. Their part in what is to come is undetermined, should you need to contact them they look like KATHRYN NEWTON.
i present to you, a grumpy, stubborn, closeted little journalist. Barrell O Fun. Pre The Academy:
She was a born to a reasonably happy home in Suburbia. It wasn’t good, it wasn’t bad. It was just pretty average. It fostered a lot of her intrigue with the extraordinary, and also the fact she thinks she’s permanently the most interesting person in the room. ( It’s incredibly arrogant, but she’s been told it makes her pretty good at her job. She can sell actually any headline just because she thinks it’s interesting. )
She grew up with a cousin of hers, and they were close, before she moved away for college. They were close, and they still are, but Jen doesn’t do particularly well with keeping in touch. Or people, period.
She’s never been particularly good at making friends, and her romantic relationships were even worse. She hasn’t connected that her romantic failings can be somewhat attributed to her sexuality, she just thinks she doesn’t have it in her to fall in love or be loved in return. Which she’s totally fine with, obviously. ( Doesn’t keep her up at night at all. Obviously. ) So as a result she’s just decided to put up a front of hating everything and everyone so they don’t approach her. ( She’s such a cliche, good heavens. ) Present/The Academy:
Being a member of the press, Jennifer’s been familiar with the Academy for a while. She doesn’t know quite what to make of them, and that’s what intrigues her. She’s treating them like a project or an assignment essentially, just one she’s taking way too far. There’s a lot about the idea of being extraordinary that intrigues and terrifies her at the same time.
Her arrogance has meant she’s always considered herself some what extraordinary, at what she does at least, and now her job is forcing her to confront people with extraordinary and borderline supernatural means at their disposal. It perturbs her if she thinks about it for too long, so she chooses not to.
She’s never been allowed to be biased, or even technically overly interested, so she simply does her job. She doesn’t slip in the fact that despite how she hates everything around her, maybe she doesn’t hate her job. ( Or what it helps her learn at least. ) The fact that all of her peers were fighting over the chance to cover the Academy and she was able to secure the story just speaks volumes to how convincing she can be.
