I did a marathon yesterday and watched all 8 ep of Avatar.

I think it was fun, the original is obviously 8926583756 times better but it wasn't as bad as some people say it was.

It's just as I expected: some weird CGI, a little bit of cringyness, weird cuts and mixes of the plot, and the characters sometimes are a bit off... but in general, I enjoyed it.

If they do a second season I'll totally watch it.

/also Iroh and Zuko made me cry like 3 times.

There’s something extremely heartbreaking about Nicos cameo/first words in the show being him looking for Bianca. He’s always going to be the little boy looking for his big sister. Season three is going to be the end of me.

i spent THIRTEEN YEARS waiting for an age accurate casting of percy jackson but now that it's here and i am no longer a child looking at heroes my age, i'm just plain HORRIFIED on behalf of these children.

i cannot accurately describe what it's like to watch the book series that shaped my life be adapted to live television absolutely perfectly.

however. the scream that i just screamed when I heard 'you drool in your sleep' sums it up very well.

I'm sure a million people have already written about this and better than I ever could, but there are so many hypocritical moments in the hunger games that stick with me. the way the capital citizens gasp and are furious at the flag being torn down, but not at the dead children directly under it. the way they riot after peeta says "if it weren't for the baby" as if they don't watch children slaughter each other every year. the list could go on.

those moments are something I think of daily, just given the current political climate in america. suzanne collins really took a mirror right to our society and nailed it. makes me insane to think about it too much
