i don’t think enough people fuck with a genuine platonic friendship between hank and connor. i feel like for the most part, people either ship them or see them as father/son. there’s a specific subculture of anderfam enjoyers who obsessively infantilize connor and subconsciously see hank as still broken and in need of a ‘replacement’ for cole. i personally hate that. i do love the implied familial relationship but only when it’s done right. but honestly? im kinda tired of it.

hank and connor are ultimately best friends — and that’s what makes their dynamic so good. they’re two assholes who bicker constantly but would absolutely take a bullet for each other. they don’t need some overly sentimental, hallmark-tier bond to be compelling.
