In MushroomClan, Cormorantpuddle went into the nursery to give the queens prey, and found a scared Hogkit in the corner of the den. The warrior comforted the kitten and the two played games, eventually ending up out in the clearing and in a game of tag a little later! Unfortunately, Hogkit fell, but Cormorantpuddle was there comforting him in an instant! The kitten declared the warrior his best friend, and with restrained tears, Cormorantpuddle echoed the thought.

A shrill bird call sounds from above, the forest rattling with each pawstep that hits the earthy floor it builds itself upon. For moons, no cat inhabits the valley, nor the mountains, and no one dares know what lies beyond. A hurricane strikes, and cats come flocking over the mountains, having escaped a treachery that would forever haunt them. Now, they live in peace, but not for long. Upon the horizon, a new group stirs, and another group lies waiting in the shadows. Kittypets explore, rogues and loners roam, and lab cats fight for freedom.
