She’s beyond the point of listening, apparently.

She’s shrieking at this point, reaching ear-splitting volume levels and pitches in her panic.

Nope, still trying to escape her.

She manages to smack a hand down on her, a lot harder than she intended to simply due to how fast she had been pursuing her and how small Marie’s squid form was. Oops.

“The hypnoshades are 100% safe, trust me!”

“And no, I’m not being mind controlled to say that!”

“YEAH, AND I’M A FLYING PIG! IF YOU’RE REALLY NOT BEING MIND CONTROLLED, THEN HELP ME CATCH HER!”

Callie immediately lunges for her, making a desperate attempt to grab her cousin’s slippery squid form. 

“GET BACK HERE!”

“They’re mine, don’t touch them…”

“Marie, I’m giving you three seconds to take them off. One...”

“What? They’re…. just a little weird, okay.”

“YOU- YOU REALLY TRUST HIS WORD?!” She looks just about ready to bitch-slap them right off Marie’s face.

Callie has made the educated guess that Metry is trans based on everything currently going on, and is kind of dumbfounded that Marie hasn’t made the same guess yet, given that Marie is also trans.
