the thing that pisses me off about tiktok euphemisms is that we already had euphemisms for all of these things that dont sound like baby clown speak. u didnt have to say "🍇" you could say "sexual abuse", u didnt have to say "sewer slide" you could say "they took their own life", u didnt have to say "corn" you could say "adult videos" like. of course theres the question of whether euphemisms are any good in the first place but. if youre going to use them can you at least use the ones that sound like normal words. and i think a lot of the problem is that most of these people arent trying to have a serious conversation about this stuff. like theyre trying to be cool and edgy by talking about porn and suicide but wont actually say the words porn and suicide. pick one.
