I LOVE MY TRANS BODY!!!!!! EVEN IF IT IS STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
trans people there will always be a moment where you meet someone younger than you and their eyes light up when you tell them you're trans and they excitedly respond that they are too and you will feel something like happiness and kinship because i am you and you are me and we are more alike than either of us could possibly know
Found this in the comments of Shaun's latest video on Andrew Tate, in which he talks pretty extensively about how important it is for men to find ways to be confident in their genders without trying to adhere to, or enforce, anyone else's ideas of manhood on anyone.
Highly recommend checking it out.
Anyway. I rarely see folks talk about the positive impact transmascs have on manhood as a whole, and I think it's important to acknowledge and celebrate that.
IDIC: Star Trek and LGBT+đđłïžâđ
In case anybody needed to hear this reminder today:
Letâs not forget what long time Star Trek writer (TOS, TAS, TNG) David Gerrold had to say about Star Trek and the LGBT+ community:
â Well, hereâs a little message for the pearl-clutching drama queens âŠÂ
Get over yourselves.
I was there when Gene Roddenberry promised to include gay people in Star Trek. I heard him say it to fans. I heard him say it to staff.
It was a promise he was never allowed to keep because of studio homophobia.
I know why it didnât happen. I know whoâs responsible for thirty years of keeping gay Trek characters in the closet.
But I know what Gene intended. He intended to include everyone.
If Star Trek hadnât been all-inclusive, not only would there not have been tribbles,
There wouldnât have been George Takei,
There wouldnât have been Bill Theissâ costumes
Or Mike Minorâs art direction.
There wouldnât have been Merritt Butrick,
and at least a dozen other people whoâve made major contributions to the show.
But you donât get to define Star Trek, thatâs Gene Roddenberryâs job.â - David Gerrold

We have always been here.Â
âEvery time I meet someone. I start to get to know them. I start to see them more and more. I start to talk to them more often. All of a sudden they are stuck in my head everywhere I go. I canât stop thinking about them. I get so attached to something I know is just in the moment. I hate this about myself. Itâs one of the many scars my father left on me. I guess I just keep trying to find the love I lack from my father from everyone I get close with. At the end it will only hurt me. Because I know itâs not true love itâs just a love I pain for that Iâll never have. Until I donât accept that, Iâll never be able to control my vulnerability.â
â Yours truly, Moonlight
A Different Meaning Of Family
You did not plan for me, But the universe did. You did not birth me, But you rebirthed me. You did not know me my whole life, But youâve known me over many lifetimes. You did not raise me, But you shaped me. You did not teach me to walk, But you taught me to fly. You did not hear my first word, But you taught me to speak up. You did not see my first day of school, But you taught me more than it ever did. You did not wipe away my first tears, But you prevented new tears from falling. You did not take me through childhood, But you helped me reclaim it. You were not there from the start, But youâll be there âtil the end. I was not born to you, But you chose me. We are not blood related, But you have always been my family.
The words are pouring out tonight. This is for all the kids who had to find their own families. đđ±âš
âPeople are very fond of giving away what they need most themselves.â
â Oscar Wilde (via quotemadness)
âSilence fell between us. This was a common occurrence whenever weâre alone. When youâre comfortable with someone, you donât need to always fill the void with noise. I liked it when we would just be.â
â Elizabeth Eulberg
And in that moment i knew/ I knew the choices ive made/ They were the right ones/ .... To the outside world/ Those quiet tears were sad/ But they were those of contentment/ Of happiness/ #elevatorthoughts https://www.instagram.com/p/Bx8_SXoBYgb/?igshid=es8isflmmzyr
What I've learned
And like that i learned
I've learned what is was
To feel at ease
I've learned what it was
To be happy
I've learned what it was
What it was i was missing
...
A family
What I've learned
And like that i learned
I've learned what its like
To feel content
I've learned what its like
To feel happy
In this time I've learned
What it was like to have
...
A family
Not one of blood
But one of worth

âI give because I know how it feels to wantâ
You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Donât make money your goal. Instead, pursue the things you love doing, and then do them so well that people canât take their eyes off you.
Maya Angelou (via quotemadness)
Those moments you finally feel content for a while. Sitting able to think clearly. Surrounded by things you love. Those are the best moments.
