Dream of the Rarebit Fiend by Silas, El Paso Herald, Texas, April 24, 1909
- Stimpy and Olive not being camera shy.
they look like a couple that defied all odds to be together.
so worm.. so tender….
Olive, to camera: “He never asked me to change for him.” Stimpy, to Olive: “Why would I? You’re the perfect sister.”
Oh snap I miss Dead Surf.

While thinking about color and trying to look past the obvious, I focused on the lack of it we readily accept. Sheet music and annotated scores are always in black and white for their ease of read. I thought that was so odd since music is an expression of our emotional souls. The photo above is my tribute to the colors of music.
One day last week I didn't want to work at all. So, I looked at illustrations all day and then made a fake magazine cover based on all the cool stuff I saw. This is my next fake adventure. Sign up at www.ifeltlazy.justliketoday.biz
MAD MAX Fury Road, The Game
Last month, Samantha & I got the chance to visit Ekshärad, Sweden to see our dear friend Anna marry her dear Ben. It was my first time being able to spend some real face-to-face time with him, but I instantly understood how Anna fell for him so hard.
One day, Ben and I had some times to ourselves. One of the things we discussed was the meanings behind our tattoos. Simply put, his represent utility and beauty, the two most important aspects to balance when designing. On their wedding day, I asked Anna what the back of her dress meant. She just said it was pretty.
I think they’re gonna be just fine.
Was just reminded of this gem.
Memento Mori (or You Can't Take a U-Haul to Heaven) | Jeremy Lewis
My latest tattoo is four different ideas combined into one. The bird, a Carolina Wren, was inspired my dear friend Trey Hobbs. I always wanted a South Carolina tattoo and he recently was discussing how cool a wren tattoo would be. I was hesitant at first, but now my not-so-secret hope is that we both have wren tattoos one day. The arrow on which the bird sits is based on the stamp that my grandfather uses on all his jewelry. Everyone in my family has this arrow shape on their body in different variations and locations. The design in the bird's wing is the Native American symbol for my last name, Rainwater. The skull hidden in the bird's chest is the most meaningful part of the tattoo to me. It represents an old philosophy called "memento mori" which translates to "remember (that you have) to die." Growing up, a phrase I heard over and over was, "You can't take a U-Haul to Heaven." So often I panic over money and material goods. Too often, if I am honest with myself. Having the constant reminder that the only thing I am promised in this life are grace and death helps put my time and energy into perspective.
