This quiet is unnerving.
You’re hilarious.
Oh, I know.
This quiet is unnerving.
Last I checked, I wasn’t that old, love.
I don't know, I think I see a gray hair.
This quiet is unnerving.
And waste my time with my head in the clouds? I’d much rather be self-loathing and realistic.
A waste of time to someone who's what, a billion years old? That's unheard of.
This quiet is unnerving.
And what an original, self-proclaimed specialty that is.
There's no need to be so self loathing all the time.
This quiet is unnerving.
You’d be guessing correctly.
Good guessing is a specialty of mine.
This quiet is unnerving.
Yes, it’s unwise to test my temper.
I haven’t been unkind. In fact, I’ve been quite the opposite as I’m normally not so forthcoming about my moods.
So your standard mood just happens to be bitter and unhappy, I'm guessing.
This quiet is unnerving.
Just terrible. For those who unwisely choose to take their chance with my short temper, that is.
Unwisely?
Now, there's no need to be unkind.
This quiet is unnerving.
Isn't that just too bad for you.
Curiosity || Sam & Damon
"How unfortunate for us both," Damon replied, knowing how much Katherine could be to handle. While some part of him had hoped the vampire-turned human-turned vamp again had kept her distance from Sam, he knew that it was very likely false hope. After all, what did Katherine have to fear? She’d won a soft spot with Elijah which meant that Klaus wouldn’t harm her, a fact that Damon had often voiced his objections of, not that anyone was listening.
Samantha was an animal of a different breed, Damon had noted. While she did share some traits of her prior dopplegangers, she wasn’t exactly like either of them. “Ah, that is an understatement,” he smiled. “While Katherine is selfish and cut-throat, Elena was altruistic and compassionate, but so much more.” To him, there were not enough kind words in existence to fully capture his opinion of Elena, and he wasn’t sure if there ever would be. The only way to truly understand what was so amazing about Elena Gilbert would have been to be lucky enough to meet her, which was no longer an option.
"So you two are close then?" Samantha said, obviously joking. It was clear that Damon wasn't a fan of the previous doppelganger. How he knew her exactly, Samantha didn't care to know. If she had to guess they were probably friends with benefits or something like that. That seemed like something Katherine would do. But Samantha didn't know her well, and she didn't care to know her at all to be completely honest. There was something about Katherine that made Samantha want to gouge her eyes out. Or maybe something that wasn't that gory.
There was something there with Elena and Damon, Sam could tell. Though that girl was now long gone, she could sense something intense about the way that Damon spoke of her. A slight amount of yearning in his voice, if anything. "Ah." Sam simply nodded, unsure of how to respond to him. She hadn't known Elena at all. It took her a little longer than it should have to put two and two together. If he knew Elena, he couldn't possibly human. Samantha knew her fair share about vampires. Enough to know that Damon wasn't someone she should have invited into her house. She tried to keep the look of slight panic from her face. She didn't know this man. He could actually be a serial killer for all she knew. Immediate regret consumed her.
What's with the Christmas decorations?
Did someone forget about Halloween? What about Thanksgiving?
Everyone seems to be in some sort of crisis.
The fact that I'm almost out of alcohol is a total crisis.
Curiosity || Sam & Damon
A look of surprise fell over the man’s face, something that was hard to genuinely evoke from the man after all the years he’d been around. Clearly Samantha knew more about who she was than Damon had expected when he’d walked through her front door. “Katherine,” he replied, before pulling a few large gulps from his drink finishing it off. “Have you met the bitch?”
He knew that was a silly question, after all, Katherine Pierce would hardly give up any opportunity to terrorize her mirror image. But even hearing Elena’s name had struck a nerve deep inside of him, one that he spend ours each day trying to calm. “No one could have hated Elena,” he stated blankly, before his mind quietly finished the statement: and I was in love with her. “But someone has filled you in.”
To be honest, Sam had never heard much about Elena. She was a face and a name and that was all that she would ever be in Samantha's mind. A simple thing of the past and that was all. A dead little thing that didn't mean much to anyone anymore. None of this, Sam would say aloud. Though she didn't care what Damon would think of her, barely knowing who she was in the first place, she didn't care to bring up the topic of the past doppelganger whose face she now stole for her own. And she did wear it the best, didn't she? She knew nothing more about Elena than that she was no longer around. People didn't tend to speak about her much.
"We've met." Samantha said with the slightest of shrugs, brushing it off that she had met the devil that laid inside the shared face of the doppelgangers. There was nothing like listening to other people talk about them. It must have been weird for someone to know two people who looked identical yet weren't twins at all. Hopefully Sam wasn't as much of a bitch as Katherine. Or at least, she hoped people didn't see her that way. As much as she didn't care what people thought of her, bitches didn't make friends. "So you know Katherine then?" She didn't care about hearing about Katherine. She had heard about Katherine and even met her herself. The bitch nearly hated Sam. As much as she resented her thoughts, she wanted to hear about Elena. "Elena." The word felt a little foreign on her tongue. "All I've heard is she's the opposite of Katherine." If Elena was the opposite of Katherine, what did that make Sam?
Then, you understand the reason for Delilah’s distaste.
What does my alike-ness to Katherine have to do with anything, Elijah?
Though, you do possess the spitting image of her.
You’ve met Katherine, yes?
I realize that.
Oh yes, she's just a ball of happiness and joy.
Yes. Katherine appeared to imprint such an impression upon her.
Last time I checked, I wasn't Katherine.
