One thing I definitely think Richard cut out of the story is more moments with Julian. Julian appears about the same frequency as Judy, hell probably less. Even for a character like Richard, who is easily manipulated and very parasocial, the way he talked about Julian after he left seems like they had alot closer of a relationship then shown. I don't put it past him at all to dramatic sizes his relationship with Julian and have a one sided relationship with him but the way Richard talked about him at the end was always so odd to me. He only admits to seeing Julian as a father figure and goes on a multiple page monolog about him. Of course it really could just be Richard being parasocial and copeing but I feel like the way he talked about him deeply did imply them having a closer relationship then shown. It's just that something about him talking about the betrayal he felt, how fond he was of him, (What he wrote about him in the yearbook?????) We know Julian groomed all of them but God I wish we actually got to see more of it. I also want to mention that in the scene where Richard runs into Julian with his black eye Julian mentions that he barely sees Richard anymore. But although they had fewer classes, they seem to be meeting in the same frequency as before? I don't think they where really close at all, just had more moments together

Something I wish more people understood is how young everyone in the greek class was. The oldest of them was 24!!!!!! Richard was 19 in the beginning of the book, and he spent his 20th birthday freezing in the cold! The others couldn't have been older than 21-22!
