((So a while back, before I remade this account, a bunch of stuff went down that left me pretty heartbroken and devastated. Ever since then being on tumblr has been hard to say the least. I still love everyone here and a part of me wants to try to write (while the rest of me ends up crying when I try), I'm very active on discord (for writing and just chatting). "'Glamping.'" Grant chuckled. "Nor would I." His hair and skincare regimen, for one. Compared to Spector and Lockley, Grant's tastes ran elegant.

"Thank you," he said, imagining to be able to walk right into the water. No travel needed. While they would complain about how nice the accommodations were, it would be good for them. Grant was looking forward to the trip.

"I'll pack my essentials and wait for you to drop by." The rest would be a surprise to him. There was no need to worry or plan on his end. For once. They could just go.

"I appreciate the invite. It has been ages since I've had a vacation. All the better I get to spend time with you." While he'd be sure to get a few things David may appreciate, it was about the time spent together than gifts.

David hadn't been fishing for Steven to point out that it meant they could spend time together, but, well, he certainly wasn't disappointed in that detail.

Most people liked being liked, but David rarely felt wanted. It made those moments all the more important to him.

"You gotta get out of the city sometimes. This place 'll drive you crazy, and I know crazy," David smirked.

He left Steven so that he could pack, coming back with his own bag a little bit later.

"You wanna travel the old fashioned way or the David is very special and impressive way?" Teleportation could be more than a little unsettling, but David was careful enough that he could keep it from being too bad.

Steven snorted. "Marc can have all the dirt he pleases. Maybe that's what he needs. Fresh air, soil to roll in instead of musty sewers." For once, Marc wasn't listening in to their conversation. Perhaps he finally relaxed in the back. Poor man had been front-stuck for so long it was a wonder he hadn't made things worse.

Neither here nor there.

"I think we're redefining what is 'rustic.'" David wouldn't hear Steven complain about hot tubs and electricity. Creature comforts. "From the outside, it can look as rustic as your heart pleases. I would love to float or kayak on the water. Catch up on my reading. Anything but continue sweating in the city." Sweating on a tropical island was a different matter. Ironic for a system who had traveled both desert and jungle was their hatred of the heat.

"I believe they call it glamping," David grinned. "And frankly, all the superpowers in the world, I wouldn't survive without basic necessities," And okay, maybe a hot tub wasn't a necessity, but it was surely close, David thought.

"I'll make sure it's right on the lake, plenty of access," He didn't mind if Steven wanted some actual outdoors-y time. He assumed that Marc and Jake probably would like that and didn't want to assume the trip would be just him and Steven. He wouldn't want it that way in the end.

"Gimme a day and I'll get it all worked out," Arguably he just needed an Air BnB. He could make it whatever it needed to be to make it suit them. The benefits of being David.

"I'm glad you like the idea. I don't think I've ever officially gone on a trip with anyone before." Friends, let alone lovers, weren't David's strongest suit. "It'll be nice." He liked being able to give his boys things, if nothing else.

"It is," Grant agreed, café umbrella doing little to keep the mugginess at bay. "August turns this place into a madhouse." There had to be more on David's mind than just the weather. Instead of prying, he sips his pineapple bourbon lemonade.

"Mmm. Cabin anywhere there's open sky and cooler temperature. I like what you're thinking." He winked, pausing to take a giant bite out of the pineapple garnish. The rind is deposited on the napkin next to the glass. "I'm in. Marc doesn't have room to complain if he can get back instantaneously. My vote is for a lake."

"I'll be sure that there's plenty of nearby dirt for Marc to roll around in if he decides he wants to enjoy a vacation for a change," David smirked, knowing that Marc probably would like a grittier vacation and that if he were listening he'd be able to rile him up - always a bonus.

"A lake we can do, something upstate near the border," It would mean that it would be cooler, but not so cool that they couldn't enjoy the outdoors a tiny it if they decided.

"Nothing so remote that we don't have all the electricity and hot tubs and what not the a rustic cabin can handle." David was a trust fund kid and always would be.

"It's too hot in the city," Or at least, David had decided he was in too much of a mood to stay in the city. The heat was really just a scapegoat and it did make Manhattan more than a little unbearable.

"I say we runaway. Cabin in the woods. Cabin by the lake. Cabin in the mountains. There's a general luxury cabin scenario in my head," He smirked. "And I can teleport and manipulate, so you know, still all the modern conveniences of the city if we want 'em."
