[It is a copy and paste, I am so sorry, Karama!! I would have given a completely different answer and I like consistency!!! 🤣🤣🤣]

Realistically, I do not remember the majority of my mindset in creating VG 🤣 I know that I wanted to include basically myself and my whole online aesthetic into a book, and I figured I would do it with what I truly love: the Legend of Zelda! The premise of the actual Zelda aspect for it though was my want to explore how well the Chosen Three could work together if something threatened them enough to actually have to work together.

-- "If your OL was a game, what unique game mechanics would it have or what genre would it be?"

A good one! Especially for TUC, my future fic [keep an eye on AO3 over the next few months, y'all]. I imagine TUC having a lot of open world sea adventures. A lot of boating and sea fights, given the inspiration it is pulling from. I could honestly also imagine it as a very heavy strategory "your choices cause different outcomes" game. The genre? Definitely epic adventure rpg!

-- "Who's your favorite OC you've made?"

Oooo, good one! There are so many! I can't technically say Zelda from TUC because she really is not an OC. Honestly, I'll have to go with Aatheme Nex from Void's Grasp. He is one of my favorite characters to build/play in general: the crazed manipulator with a god complex. He is extremely fun and whenever people react to him, it gives me a laugh cuz they are reacting exactly how I want them to!! He is not someone you should like, honestly. He is absolutely a toxic manipulator and absolutely horrendous to know. If you all think that, I did my job right!

I imagine VG as open world/3D. I feel especially with the amount of magic and future space [like 3D space] shenanigans, visually it would work better in a 3D format.

-- "If your OL has a timeline placement, where is it and why did you pick it?"

VG is placed roughly 500 years before the events of Breath of the Wild, so 600 before actual gameplay. I think the biggest reason why I chose this placement was that there is a 10,000 year gap from the "Great Calamity" and the events of BotW that something had to have happened between then. Why is there a gap from such a big event to the next Hero? *Well, in my head, part of that reason is because space and, subsequently, time were a bit broken roughly 500 years before the Calamity of BotW. 🤣*

It has and will always be Twilight Princess. That was the very first game I owned myself, and it was the first game I actually beat [I had played plenty of Zelda games before just never beat them]. It is just an amazing game and holds a special place in my heart.

I wanted to bring the Goddesses back into the forefront honestly. Like after hearing of the Goddesses' hand in creating Hyrule and the world, we really don't hear much about them. Yeah, I can see them as entities who pulled away from Hyrule and are on the outskirts, but in my opinion, I feel like they would have a bit more care for what is happening in what they created, ya know. So yeah, I wanted to pull the Goddesses a bit farther into the forefront. As such also, I wanted to bring another dark Zelda work into the series. We have Twilight Princess and Majora's Mask, and there are small parts of the games that can be considered "dark", but I feel we need more dark aspect-exploring quests.

-- "What's your favorite trait to play with in an OC Link?"

Honestly? Probably how he reacts to other people, his social side and mental fortitude when it comes to how people speak to him and/or try to manipulate him. We see with Void!Link that Aatheme is very much a manipulative person and we see that Link trusts the man implicitly... Because Aatheme basically saved him from destitution and gave him a purpose. There's also the dynamic with Delya. This girl is giving him "love" or what Link can best describe as "love" because the poor boy has never felt the love of really anyone.
