Eoin looked up from the herbs he was picking and pocketed his knife, surprised to see his guest from a while ago once more.
"Hello again, Miss."

Wraiths and specters. Those could be dealt with. Werewolves, too, though it likely would go so well, and neither party would come out ahead. Still, if either of them were bothersome, there were precautions that could be taken.
What gave her more immediate pause, though not necessarily cause for alarm, yet, was Eoin’s rather open and frank reveal of what he, himself, was. “Mad? Oh, not hardly. Specters and werewolves can be guarded against, if they’re a bother to you, but that might make things awkward and difficult for me, depending on your intentions.” There was a tremor in her voice as she continued. “See, I’ve heard about vampires, but never actually encountered one. You, Ehm.... didn’t bring me here for dinner.... did you?”
"...Heavens, No!"
Eoin recoiled in a mix of shock and indignance at the implication that he'd lured her there to feed. He'd been entirely genuine in his offer of hospitality despite his general indirectness in regards to answering most questions.
"I've already fed tonight and I wouldn't be so disingenuous to begin with."
“Well, I didn’t think so, but you can’t fault a girl for asking. I’ve seen movies, and read books, but those are very different when faced with the real thing. What would you do if you met a warlock or sorcerer? Those are just as mythical, yeah? Merely assuming all would be well, would be a bit foolish, wouldn’t it?”
Sighing gently, her eyes moved up to meet his directly. “I meant no offense, truly. Just wanted to know what I might be in for.”
"Hm?"
Eoin sat upright and tilted his head curiously, Boru mimicking the motion as he stood up and flopped back over.
"Do they not prefer the term mage anymore?"
“Oh no, we still do, I just....” she smiled a little, “didn’t know if you’d heard of us. It’s sort of the same thing, you see. You try to be secret, we aren’t exactly broadcasting our existence.... same sort of thing.” She glanced around the cabin briefly, then looked back to Eoin. “Have you got a pot where I might be able to make some tea?”
“I’ve a pantry and a kitchen through that doorway.” Eoin leaned over the armrest to gesture before Boru yipped and jumped from his lap to lead the way to the kitchen. “Hm. Seems you’ve a new guide.”
She laughed a little as she watched the fox, even as she started to trail after him. “It appears I do. Perhaps that means he’s looking for more pets and attention, and this is the way he knows for sure how to get them.”
She paused in the doorway leading to the kitchen, her head tilted a bit. “Thank you, again. I promise I’m a good houseguest and know how to clean up after myself.”
"Well? Aren't you going to follow your wise guide?"
Eoin chuckled and lazed back while Boru yipped and sprinted back through the doorway, staring up and waiting for her to follow.
Hmm maybe I can spare a few minutes tonight to go roll around in a puddle and maybe try getting some of this peat off ha

"Fret not, I am short and frail in appearance as well."
I said what I said....you know I’m just a gay idiot of a Tremere.
"Why do you call yourself an idiot?"
Because I apparently forget how to talk properly. But that aside I’m trying to offer you distraction from the angry wolves and Sabbat.
"The Sabbat do not venture this far and the Garou and I are on acceptable terms though I appreciate the gesture."

Do you want to be trained in fortitude?

“Funny how the laws rarely seem to apply to those who made them,” she replied, just as tongue in cheek.
Quietly, she followed him up, smiling faintly at the scents of the night mixed with the smell of the wood of the cabin. Upon entering, she looked at the various animals, hesitating for a moment in the doorway before stepping fully in. “You weren’t kidding when you said you had a lot of rescues.”
Liv’s head tilted a little as Eoin kept his back to her, frowning faintly as she chewed lightly at the corner of her lower lip. “Oh, I see. Do you have some sort of digestive problem? I’d like to be able to do something to repay your hospitality.”
"Your confidentiality regarding whatever...unusual occurrences...in the vicinity will be enough."
He said with a unintentionally dramatic turn to face her, pocketing the glasses and picking up Boru before slumping into a recliner.
Something was rather off about this woodsman, no? No apetite, no company, his eyes...? Humans didn't have eyes like that at all.
“Unusual occurrences?” She half smiled at that, though seemed as though she was feeling somewhat anxious, her weight starting to shift from foot to foot. “Ehm... what sort of unusual occurrences should I be expecting?”
It could have been she was starting to put the pieces together, or perhaps she was just wary. Either way, she moved calmly, though kept a bit of distance between them, especially considering his eyes weren’t at all normal. The lack of company and animals were explainable, after all, he was rather in the middle of nowhere. They eyes, though.... those weren’t normal.
“Ehm... if it’s not too personal, what happened to your eyes?”
"Oh, the occasional wraith or spectre, perhaps a werewolf prowling about..."
He gestured absently as if what he had said was entirely normal for someone besides himself as he stretched and sunk further into the reclining chair than he already had.
"Oh, my eyes? You'll think me madder than I seem to be but consider it a side effect of the vampiric condition."
"O-oh? Are we speaking of feats of strength?
I had the emotional strength to say no to dear Boru.
It was a taxing experience on my very soul."

“Plenty of rescues? Of what sorts?” She asked as she rose to her feet. It took her a moment to register that he was leaving, though she quickly caught up, not really having any desire to be left alone in the dark.
“To be fair, I shouldn’t have forgotten where I found it. Therefore, I truly am the bother here. I truly appreciate you putting up with me, and not just telling me to jog on.”
"Whatever shows up or whatever the hunt saboteurs are able to bring to me."
Eoin replied as the dim light of a porch lantern came into sight, flickering against the old, old cabin.
"Please, stop apologizing. You're no inconvenience."
“Actual, live fox hunts are really still a thing that happens?” Her eyes widened a bit for a brief second, before she shook her head. “No, I suppose that makes sense. Some while back, Mum and I moved to Chicago, but it was still a thing in Wales with some people.”
Namely the wealthy or titled. Neither of which she technically was, though she could have said her financial situation was stable.
Green eyes flickered over the cabin, a small smile touching her lips at the sight of the lanterns. “If you insist. I make no promises, but I’ll do my best on the apology front.” Gesturing to the cabin, she nodded once. “This your place then? It’s cute. Can I at least make you something to eat by way of thanks for the hospitality? I’m vegetarian, but I know how to cook meat, if that’s what you’d prefer.”
"The law doesn't extend to those with inherited wealth and titles, don't you know?"
The Kindred replied tongue-in-cheekly as he placed a foot on the first step and sighing contenty at the dull creak before walking the rest of the way up. Home, Sweet Home.
Eoin's 'rescues' so to speak were...everything. Domesticated, Wild, Large, Small, Hooved, Clawed, Pawed, etc.
He sighed at her offer of food and shook his head. With his back still to her, he reached up to remove his glasses.
"Miss, your generosity is appreciated but I can't...exactly...eat..."
