Hey everyone! Here’s a pic of my #currentread and #drawingwip ! Current read: Specials, Scott Westerfield. While the first book in this series was a total flop for me, I’m really enjoying Specials as well as Pretties! In book one I felt like everyone was talking about Tally like she was someone special and different, when to me she felt boring and flat. Plus the romance with David was 🤮 I didn’t get to know his character at all before they were suddenly ‘in love’. While the romance is still a bit sketchy and out of place, I feel like Tally’s character has finally grown to be the person that everyone saw her as in the first book. I can’t wait to see how the series ends. And my drawing WIP is a snow leopard. I’m back! I had a lovely few days with my friend and am ready to get back to putting as much work as I can into TDWD! In fact, I ordered my proof copy yesterday 😱 I’m #currentlyreading Uglies by Scott Westerfield…ngl, this book is (so far, I’m super close to finishing) a big disappointment. I haven’t connected to any of the characters in the slightest and I feel totally distanced from the action when I’m reading. The world building is pretty good though, and it’s an interesting interpretation of the future and an interesting point of view on where we are today. Anyone else feel this way about this book?
