As someone who kins a lot of antagonists I genuinely do get tired of doing the "not that I deserve this"/"not that anyone's obligated to forgive me"/"not supporting my actions" disclaimer. Like, really tired. Of course I still feel a little bad, but that's shit I did then that I can't take back now. Honestly, what use is there in apologizing for it or adding on some stupid, preachy sounding "I'm not excusing myself btw!" at the end. I feel like one should just assume that I'm not excusing my own abhorrent actions. I shouldn't have to say it. Whatever. It doesn't really matter I've just been thinking about it a lot.
