A hole in YouTube moderation that allows to block any channel! Support the petition!
We are representatives of the creative community, the owners of YouTube channels, who suffered from fraudulent actions of the user Aiko Sato, as a result of which our channels were blocked. Most of them had a good reputation, long history and thousands of subscribers.
We ask for help in restoring justice and taking action against the fraudster Aiko Sato!
We have never copied creative works from other authors, this is considered bad manners and is strongly condemned by all of us. In addition, most of us had our logos on the video, some even had links to the channel, but this did not help. We are able to provide YouTube moderators with the original source drafts of our creative videos, and some of us did, but unfortunately were ignored.
User Aiko Sato ([email protected]) was able to mislead YouTube moderators and block our channels using a clever scheme. For what purpose and for what reason this was done, we do not know, since in response to the request to tell us the reasons for the complaints, he either does not answer anything or sends obscene pictures.
We managed to determine the scheme of actions of Aiko Sato and obtain evidence of deception.
Aiko Sato downloads someone else’s video from YouTube and uploads it to his Tumblr account.
Publishes this work under the nickname SnarryLove on the site https://archiveofourown.org/ inserting the video code into the post. At the same time he indicates the publication date earlier than the original was published (the site archiveofourown.org gives this opportunity, see the video below or a screenshot: picua.org)
Submits a complaint to YouTube, claiming authorship of the work and attaching a link to the video posted with an earlier date. The video is being blocked due to a complaint.
Do the same with other user works. As a result, after the third complaint, YouTube blocks the channel. All this is done within 1-2 days so that the author of the channel does not have time to challenge the strikes through the creative studio and lose access to the channel.

On archiveofourown.org user Aiko Sato logs in as SnarryLove (we have proof that they are the same person, which we provide below).
We also have screenshots confirming that user Aiko Sato used this particular pattern.
For example, this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8gJGGS_ePY user Joanna G is now blocked because “user Aiko Sato filed a copyright infringement complaint against him.” We observed the situation with its blocking in real time:

If YouTube moderators re-check the information provided in the complaint about this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8gJGGS_ePY) they will see a link to the post https://archiveofourown.org/works/31434917 and the name of the video content infringing rights: “Harry Potter fanvid - Superhero”. This will easily confirm the veracity of our words.
According to the scheme described above, 15 YouTube channels of conscientious users were blocked! (And these are only those that we became aware of in the last 2 days). If you check all the complaints received from Aiko Sato, it is likely that there will be many other bona fide users affected by his actions.
We were able to connect YouTube user Aiko Sato to archiveofourown.org user SnarryLove, thanks to his complaint to the hosting support of the site that hosted the artwork of one of our community artist. The hosting support brought us the content of the request, in which the applicant indicates his name as Aiko Sato and at the same time links to the topic of the site archiveofourown.org, created by user SnarryLove, which allegedly contains the original of his work. Thus, the user Aiko Sato tried to block not only channels, but also sites using the same scheme.
If YouTube moderators re-check the information in the complaints against them, they will find empty non-existent pages on the links that Aiko Sato provided as evidence, or pages containing completely different content than presented in the blocked videos.
Many of us filed counter-appeals in response to complaints, but after the blocking of channels (which, recall, occurs after three strikes), we received only the standard YouTube response: “If your channel is removed due to copyright infringement, then we cannot consider Your appeal”. Thus, we were not given the time to challenge the attacker’s actions, nor the opportunity to provide evidence later!
