Okie so!! I really want to start posting my art here, will try and post some witchy things every now and again but don't be surprised if that kinda fizzles out over time :')) I really need to focus on the things that make my brain happy at the moment, and witchcraft is one of those things but the pressure to have the correct information on every post when I'm just learning was a lot for me. Once I'm feelin less overwhelmed w/ general life I'll probably come back to making frequent witchy posts!! <33

Hello, it's nice of you to stop by. I'm not one for introductions so I'll try to keep this short. I'm a 21 year old and aspiring author based in South Devon, UK. I spend my days mostly nestled away with my beautiful wife-to-be, Aster, and our silly kitten, Pluto. As Spring begins to creep in and new things begin to surround the old and familiar, I've decided to take the opportunity to welcome new change into my life and have started to focus on building an audience and a base from which to begin publishing my work- hopefully someday soon.
I would like to invite you to join me as I discover my potential and, most importantly, create things that I hope will have a profound effect on you, that make you think. My aim is to write you stories that tell the tales of us all, that captivate and inspire, that reflect and make you admire. I expect that our meeting isn't by chance; we need each other, I hope. Stick around and who knows... I might surprise you over the years.
take really good care of yourself
Visit again soon, if you like, it was nice to meet you.

✨ Simple Practices For Low Energy Days ✨
Carry a crystal!
Choose a crystal to carry, it's as easy as popping it into your pocket! Different crystals will have different energies and therefore effects so try and choose one best suited to your needs that day.
Burn incense or oils!
Another easy daily practice, you could light an incense and take a few minutes to meditate, or have a cleansing bath or shower with one lit! Like crystals different incenses and oils have different properties so try and find ones that work good for you.
Read or add to your Book Of Shadows
When you practice magick there's no end to learning, it's helpful to collect all the information you've gathered into one place; your book of Shadows! On low energy days it may be helpful to return to topics you've already covered and revise the information or add to them!
Use colours that match your intent
Colour magick can be a great easy practice on low energy days as there are so many ways you can utilise the everyday objects around you. You could paint your nails, wear something, use a colour palate in your artwork, write with a coloured pen or use colours in your makeup.
For more about colours, check out: Colours and their magick properties
Use bay leaves to manifest
Bay leaves are very easy to use as manifestation tools, you can simply write the things you want to attract onto a leaf and burn it. On lower energy days you could write affirmations onto the leaf and burn to attract positivity.
Bay Leaves: Folklore
In Greek Mythology Bay Leaves were named after the river nymph Daphne. Apollo's most famous love interest was Daphne. Apllo tried to pursue the river nymph, however Daphne wanted nothing to do with Apollo, and desired to keep her freedom and virginity. When Apollo couldn’t be dissuaded, Daphne decided to take flight, with Apollo close behind. Daphne fled through rivers, valleys, and mountains, but it didn’t matter how far or fast she ran, Apollo would not give up. Finally, in exhaustion, Daphne cried out to Gaia to consume her into into the earth and begged her father (the river) to change her. As Daphne stood on the earth beneath, her legs took root into the earth, her body became of the trunk, her limbs the branches and her head the leaves. Dismayed, Apollo cried out and confessed his love would never die. For his sacred crown, Apollo would forever wear the Laurel Wreath. From that moment in history, Bay has been used in crowning ceremonies. The Greek Oracles of Delphi also held the bay leaf in high regard. In order to induce prophetic visions, the Delphi nymphs would chew on Bay leaves.
✨ Types of magick ✨
Elemental: This magick is practiced by honouring/acknowledging the elements: Water, Earth, Air, Fire and Spirit, and incorporating them into your spellwork. Those who practice elemental magick usually dedicate different areas of the altar to each element, and call upon them during spells and rituals.
Lunar: This type of magick honours the moon and it’s energy and phases. When practicing kind of magick most people prefer to work during the night hours rather than during the day.
Green: This is the practice of gathering plants, herbs and flowers and using them in herbal magick, this can be done by creating mixes/blends of different plants or primally using plants, herbs and flowers in spellwork.
Hedge: A type of magick oriented around more spiritual practice like astral projection, lucid dreaming, spiritwork and healing.
Kitchen: Magick that is worked specifically through kitchen tasks, such as herbal mixtures, brewing, baking, and cooking. This practice honours many aspects of the natural world; including herbs, flowers, crystals, fey, and the elements.
Cottage: Taking a step further from kitchen magick, this way of working is weaved into every day tasks around the house, including tasks for loved ones, such as cooking, cleaning etc.
Garden: Magick that is mostly, if not all herbal and botanical-related. A witch that practices garden magick will feel closely connected to earth and could be considered a green witch.
Crystal: Magick that works with stones and crystals. Many witches use this form of practice as it’s so reliable, as well as having a vast range of crystals with even wider range of properties to choose from, wether it’s using crystals in healing techniques or chakra balance and crystal meditation, they have so many magickal uses to try!
Faery/Fey: ! DO NOT TRY THIS AS A BABY WITCH ! This Magick is based around the fae and faeries, and the communication with them during spells and rituals.
Chaos: A form of magick using new, non-traditional methods, in which the practitioner push their will and intention through the universe. It’s a very new and individualistic practice, with may fragments from other common forms of magick. Sigils would fall under this category.
Bone: This magick involves collecting and use animal bones in practice.
Grey: A neutral practice, witches that work with grey magick neither benefits or harms others. Grey magick may also both harm and benefit at the same time, balancing and neutralizing.
Space: Magick that involves working with the planets and stars, by focusing their magick and incorporating properties of each/ planet(s).
Divination: This magickal practice involves using tools to be able to predict the future, ask questions and receive guidance. Tools incude: tarot, pendulum, wax readings etc.
Dream work: This magick involves keeping a ‘dream diary’, in which you can study your dreams to gain better perspective, not only in a psychological sense but in a psychic one too.
Spirit work: Those who practice spirit work talk to spirits to help find guidance, usually though tools. This can be partially helpful for those who work with Deities.
Shadow work: Shadow work is the magickal process of exploring your inner darkness, or ‘shadow self’. This practice uncovers all the repressed traumas, and helps you find a brighter path to enlightenment.

✨ 5 types of witches ✨
There’s been a high rise of new people with an interest for paganism, wicca and all things witchcraft over the last couple years, but while stylized Tarot cards and light-catching crystals are perfect tools, the shift from an intrigued observer to practicing wiccan or pagan can be a daunting one. So why not start the process by determining which brand of witchery resonates with you?
Read and learn about five specialized takes on witchcraft;
Cosmic Witch
Cosmic witches will often incorporate planetary and celestial energy into their practices and spellwork. They feel a personal, spiritual and emotional connection with with the planets in our solar system, but that’s not the limit- some also feel this with asteroids, meteors, supernovas, stars, constellations, galaxies, as well as black holes! These witches will pay attention to the finer details of astrology, horoscopes, and zodiac signs—but that’s only the surface of how the cosmic forces influence the individual. They focus on how celestial energy influences the inner self, people around them and the world.
Cosmic witches have been around since the study of planets. According to the American Federation of Astrologers, they used their astrological charts to predict the “recurrence of seasons and certain celestial events.” Around 2000 BC. Babylonian astrologers believed that the sun, moon, and the five known planets at the time all had distinct character traits.
Divination Witch
A divination witch uses their magick to try to predict the future, to find guidance and to have questions answered, often by using a variety of tools—or one that resonates with them personally. There are so many various mediums with which you can connect into the magick of the world; Tarot cards, oracle cards, pendulums, palmistry, and tasseography, and more.
Divination as well as divination witches have existed in nearly about every time period in history. In ancient Greece, these witches were known as Oracles, and it was believed that deities spoke to them / through them.
Green Witch
A green witch works with magickal properties found in the natural world around us. Their craft is based on respecting nature and all living things. Green witches focus on the magickal meanings and uses of herbs, plants, and flowers. This incorporates herbalism; The use of plants intended for medicinal purposes, into their practice.
Herbalism is found in many cultures, ancient and not. In some parts of Africa, a herb called purslane was used for cleansing during and after rituals, while in some Scandinavian countries, clover was used to ward off evils spirits and help develop psychic ability! In folk magic, chamomile is said to bring luck.
Kitchen Witch
A kitchen witch incorporates their magick practices into their cooking, usually within their own home. Their magic is not based on any divine power or spiritual guidance, but in the magic that can be found in everyday life. Their craft shines brightest while cooking and baking, by using the power of their own intentions.
Witchcraft and cooking have always come hand-in-hand. Our classic image of a witch has always persisted as a woman stirring her cauldron and there has always been a magical and ritualistic nature surrounding food, like in green witchcraft, kitchen witches use herbalism in their food-based magick—but kitchen witchery isn’t just about food! It can also be making a homemade offering to a deity, or even cleansing and protection your home!
Sea Witch
sea witches, also known as a water witches, work with the element water in order to connect with their magic. They feel a deep, powerful connection to the water—whether its the ocean, sea, or just a lake or pond, this powerful pull towards the water leads them to be more aware of their own magickal energies.
Sea witches have been found in many cultures throughout history, however, sea witches have a even deeper history in mythology. In Norse mythology, these witches were magickal, malevolent feminine spirits who often took the form of mermaids like creatures. These witches believe their power and bond with the sea and its tides was born from their worship to the moon. The triple goddess symbol holds particularly deep meaning for sea witches, as it represents the three phases of the monthly lunar cycle: waxing, full, and waning, of which effect the tides most.
