Have you ever wanted to buy an original from me but decided you’d rather wait until it was auctioned for a good cause so you could at least justify spending money on something I made? Well, now is your chance! I was invited to participate in the Gallery of Hope fundraising event THIS FRIDAY in Kaysville, UT. The Gallery of Hope is a non-profit community theater that nominates families who are dealing with cancer and then puts a show together for them, donating all proceeds to that family and hopefully brightening their lives just a bit. I’ve entered my original Princess Leia piece (slide for image) for the cause. Everyone knows someone who’s been affected by cancer. My own grandmother passed from Leukemia when I was a newborn. Probably my favorite thing that came out of 24 hr comic day was this quick reimagining of a character I made decades ago. He’s gone through various little changes over the years but I hadn’t even attempted to draw him in a long time (for comparison sake, slide to check out my first attempt which more closely resembled the old look).
