We had a princess day (sorry for the bad coverup, my couch cover tore near my knee and it looked terrible so I just wanted to cover it real fast), and I just flopped on the couch at one point. I liked the way the skirt was, so I asked her to grab a pic. Things will be a bit slow on this front seeing as we’re moving this year, and so on. ♥ PS - I picked out a super rad new pinup name Blake Deadly. I adore it. P.P.S. - Manic Panic has a new color called Siren’s Song. Teal/green. Super fabulous! I’ve gotten about 8 billion compliments on it.

From the Halloween photoshoot my girlfriend @vintageandroid and I did. She’s not in this one because she really wanted to be directing me from behind the camera. I’m dressed as my interpretation of Santa Muerta. I find it interesting that Dia de los Muertos figured so prominently in the last Bond film as well. Those shoes are more comfortable than they look! This adorable Heart of Haute dress is easily my favorite summer dress ever (aside from the Lazy Sundae Peggy Dress, which we’ll see soon!), and my girlfriend looks fantastic in it! Whenever she’s feeling unhappy or down, I throw this at her and make her wear it. Depending on how tall you are it hits just above or just below the knee. It has a cute little flared skirt, shoulder ties, a gathered neckline, and the most flattering fit ever. It’s more rust than red, but I love the color more than I’d expected I would.

I love it so much I really need to get myself one of the Aqua Blossom ones as well.

Dress: Heidi in Cool Mint

The Heidi dress is one of my favorites, it’s flattering, cute, and comfortable, even in super hot and humid Southern summer weather. The fabric is stretchy without losing shape and flatters the figure even without the included belt. Paired with a neat secondhand belt and some gray-and-gingham shoes from Fabulaire, it’s a great summer look. Honestly I’d even wear this with a red belt and shoes.

Forgot to post these! These are from vintageandroid‘s indoor photography experiments. There’s more but these are my faves. The lighting was originally pink but it made me look sunburned. The role of the kitten is played by my old-lady kitty, Zephyr.

The dress is from Sears, the eyeliner is actually Rimmel mascara because my eyeliner had vanished at the time. Lip is True red from L’Oreal Color Riche., and the scarf is secondhand.

Ah yes, the photoset from our lighting experiments. Featuring le moi in my glorious $25 Sears dress (seriously that thing is super comfy, super sexy, and it goes all the way to my feet, which is hard since I’m six feet tall!). Unfortunately I don’t know the brand, it’s just got an a inside of a speech bubble on the tag. All photo credits go to Gracie,[ vintageandroid ] and the model is me, [ hawkeye-is-my-wife ].

I was planning to do a fashion blog (as seen at my second page), because I love the beautiful clothes I have and I figured it’d help me feel better about myself. But dammit, after browsing Unique Vintage and Pinup Girl (and other places), and seeing how while they cater to fat chicks like myself and my girlfriend, they don’t actually even try to make them look sexy. It’s either cutesy parodies of the sexy poses, awkward-cute poses, or just cutesy poses.

So my blog is going to focus hard on embracing (the best I can!) my body as it is now, showing people that you can be sexy no matter your size (and you don’t have to hide your tummy fat with a corset). In hopes that someday it’ll be noticed enough that clothing places will actually allow us fat ladies to pose just as sexily as our slimmer counterparts. And hey, maybe we can help all of us to like how we look and feel sexy no matter what. Because we ARE all sexy, dammit.

Another throwback pic- this is from July '14, right after I had some dental work done so my face is still puffy. I LOVE the pose though. The outfit is all PUG- Pinup Girl is one of my favorite places to purchase clothes from. The second pic is my girlfriend, same day, wearing one of my fave dresses EVER. We're always thriftshopping, and this is a maternity dress we found, not that you can tell. I'll take more pictures of it, but it's super vintage and SUPER cute.

Lip reviews, the reds!

#1- Rimmel London Lasting Finish Kate 10 - one of my absolute faves, I wear this almost all the time. #2 Revlon Super Lustrous Certainly Red - More of a true red than Kate 10, and a more recent acquisition. Like all the Super Lustrous Line, these are really creamy on your lips. #3 Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream Copenhagen - a very plummy dark red, with a hint of a pinkish tone. If you're looking for a vampy pinup look, this is it right here. #4 RK by Kiss Matte Lipstick Vampire Red - a warm rusty red, not as deep as the Copenhagen, but still vampy and sexy. All of these seem to require balm first so it spreads well over your lips, but it's a small price to pay for the look. #5 Burt's Bees Summer Twilight Lip Gloss - More of a tint than a color. You have to be careful how much you apply, it can get sticky in a hurry if you overdo it. Like most Burt's stuff though, it's great for your lips.

Lip reviews, the Pinks! #1 L'Oreal Color Riche Wisteria Rose - A very pink-orange, very vibrant. I love Color Riche because it's so smooth and creamy feeling. These also have a scent to them, this one smells fruity. #2 RK by Kiss Matte Lipstick in Sugar Pink - Pure candy pink, this one requires a light lip balm first or it doesn't spread well. Very pigmented for a paler pink. #3 Maybelline Color Whisper in Pinup Peach - a peachy pink, not my favorite, but pretty.  #4 Revlon Super Lustrous in Cloud Pink - a very pale pink, requires a nude/concealer lip first to get the full effect unless your lips are naturally pale. #5 Revlon Super Lustrous in Gentlemen Prefer Pink - my favorite non-pinup pink. It's very rich and like all Super Lustrous lippies, it's very creamy. I'm not the greatest fan of pink, I own most of these because my girlfriend prefers pink over red (which I prefer). I'm sure she'll review them as well eventually. That's my Skyrim map that was custom made for me in the background.
