I watched survivor with my family last night so I didn’t liveblog anything but I (badly) wrote my thoughts down
Standing ovation for Cirie (deserved), I wonder who’s gonna win the fan vote.

Stupid gripe but I don’t know why anyone thinks that God gives a single shit about survivor and I get annoyed whenever someone brings up God (or Christianity specifically) because it feels overly performative to me, but also I was taught that you weren’t really supposed to pray openly or be overly talkative about what flavor of Christianity you were apart of (because it’s performative)
Another stupid grip: I hate when anyone swears on anything in a game where you are going to be lying and deceiving. Whenever anyone swears on anything I automatically assume they are talking out of their ass and being lazy about it, so I want them out because like find a better lie. And if they are being genuine then I want them out because now I’m side eyeing you and am super annoyed.
Still I would rather Tiff not go home over Jonathan. Her crash out was understandable (I would have handled that much worse), but also like way to completely destroy whatever was left of your social capital (it wouldn’t have mattered).

“Rizo wasn’t ever gonna win so he should have just stayed with Cirie and Ozzy and lost to them” is genuinely such a dumb take and like lowkey I get that your upset that your fav was voted out, but piss off. If that was gonna be his mentality then he might as well just quit and that’s fucking boring.
Further to that last point, Ozzy fucked up the game for him and Cirie. If he doesn’t spill all of the beans to Aubrey (or, I don’t know, plays his fucking idol) then him, Cirie, and Rizo would likely go to the end as a trio. If Ozzy is also there then Cirie has a bit more leverage (assuming Rizo still wants to flip (because that’s the correct move to make in any situation where you are playing survivor with Cirie)). Also Rizo didn’t keep his alliance because there was no situation where he would win against them. Even if he has low odds against everyone else, they are still much higher than if he went against Cirie or Ozzy. Not to be a Rizo glazer, but his moves made sense.
Family! Yay! Idgaf I like when they get letters from home and family visits. I get that it’s only 29 days, but it makes people feel emotions and I like when they bother to at least pretend to give a shit.
But anyway, why is he dressed like that?
Also idk if I ever said it before but I like the tribe flags and I like when they write their names. I think it’s cute.
I think they all had to say nice things about each contestant, but Coach saying that he will vote for Joe if he owns his game is interesting (because coach never owns his game and that’s a major reason why he lost Ozzy v coach season)
I think they should be grilled at FTC (“Savannah name one family member of everyone on the jury”) and it’s one of the things I miss about older survivor. I don’t mind soft ball questions but I think you NEED someone to actually ask a hard question.
Thank you Cirie for actually asking a good question and not just glazing one player or asking a shitty yes/no question.

I want a returnee season, but the theme is rivals (Katurah vs Bruce, Charlie vs Maria (or Rizo if he won’t do Maria idc which) Kass vs whoever had beef with her i don’t really remember, that one girl vs the other girl’s leg, and other silly combinations) and I don’t really want Johnathan to come back.
I’m hyped for 51, Idc looks fun. Glad marooning is back.
If I ever went on survivor and someone had the fucking gaul to tell me “I swear on my life/kids/god/whatever that I won’t vote you out/wont put you in fire” I would vote them out purely out of spite because I’m not a fucking idiot
Objectively keeping either Joe or Jonathan is a good move because you can beat them and objectively getting out Cirie is a good move because you can’t beat her at final tribal but like
Like I do not want Cirie going home, I want her to win. But if she is gonna go home I’d rather it be from actual gameplay rather than some advantage bullshit
