Tell us more about Myra, pretty please? 🥺
Akauabak anything for you friend. I will GLADLY talk about Myra, although I’m still fleshing her/her story out so there’s a chance all this will change.
*couple notes: Touya didn’t leave the Todorokis until he turned 19 in this universe, and just went to a private high school instead of something like UA, but the rest of the storyline is pretty much the same*
Age: 25 when she returns to Japan
Hero Name: Nightmare (not settled on this, as I feel as though it’s too close to Midnight, so if you have suggestions I’m so open)
Quirk name: Fear (see above note about hero name, idk what else I would call it)
Quirk description: her ability allows her to use other peoples fear against them when touched by her or the smoke her body produces. Her quirk has a couple negative side effects including the drive to over-consuming fear to the point she can get “drunk” on it/craves it to the point of scaring someone to death if she’s not careful or enabling her to sense and feel peoples fear at all times. She has a very shaky hold over her quirk and it often causes her problems, as she feels like she has to be on edge every moment of every day so she doesn’t accidentally hurt someone.
History: Myra grew up a couple streets down from the Todorokis, the daughter of Ms. Joke’s pro-hero older brother and the woman he met on a mission in the U.S. She grew up and went to school with the eldest Todoroki son, Touya, and eventually began a romantic relationship with him from the sophomore year of high school to her senior year.
During this time, Touya and Myra tried their best ro keep their relationship quiet since her father wasn’t a fan of Endeavor, and Enji thought she wasn’t from good enough stock for his son. The two of them were very close, and shared all of their troubles with one another. Touya was there when the tragic death of her mother caused Myra’s quirk to make its first full manifestation in a moment of fear and grief when she was 17, and she was there to witness how hard his fathers disappointment in him weighed and made him angry.
When Touya disappeared the year after, Endeavor accused her of having something to do with it, blaming her for not having full control of her now much more powerful quirk, resulting in her father and him getting into a physical altercation to defend his daughter
The negative media attention (which started Myra’s fear of having a villainous quirk or being seen as a villain) as well as her new grief caused Myra’s father to decide to move back to the U.S., and Myra spent the rest of her years there until she turned 25 and returned to Japan as a new Pro-Hero. She was allowed to transfer Commissions as long as she agreed to continue being a stealth hero and promised to stay out of trouble. She was placed as Hawks’ partner for his more discreet missions, but works solo for the Hero Commission as well.
