What about Chalcis examples?
The items in the Chalcis hoard weren’t breastplates. As pictured above, a breastplate is a single plate covering the front upper torso. The bits of plate from Chalcis belonged to sets of Brigandine.
Here is an alright reproduction of a Chalcis Brigandine.
A Brigandine, for those who may not know, is the precursor to full blown breastplates. It’s made up of a great number of smaller plates riveted to a stiff backing, often velvet or linen.
