Another thing is this irony poisoned creepy cheerful nihilism is nothing now especially from white people but the reason it’s so popular rn bc it gives people the luxury of removing themselves from the political situation as well as any guilt. A true apocalypse probably won’t happen within our life times but it’s always being used as an excuse to delegitimize fears of the present. I feel like American propaganda has moved passed the initiative of trying to idolize America and make it seem like this flawless nation but instead make sure the any acknowledgement of the countries wrong doings is matched w a message of helplessness. Like I have a feeling they have accepted they can’t shift the narrative entirely so they have no resorted to spreading nihilism in the pockets any criticism of America exists.
