What side plots or minor characters do you hope to see again Season 2?

The Librarian—Ok I LOVE the librarian so much. She’s such a funky gal and I really really hope we get to learn more about her. What is her backstory?? Is she a witch??? Will she become Hilda’s magic mentor???? I just really really hope we get to learn more about her and maybe see her interact with Johanna in season two

Jorgen—I’m obsessed with Jorgen and I’m so sorry you all have to hear about it. But I love him!!! That was my favorite episode in the series and I could recite the entire thing. I just really want to hear more about that story, about the time before the little people. I want to know more about Jorgen, hear him tell stories. It’s my favorite thing

The Woodman—The woodman is fantastic and we all need more of his content. I think his love for Hilda is fantastic, even if he doesn’t want to show it, he’s always there for her. I hope we see them interact more and that Hilda continues to return to the forest for visits and mud tea

What’re you hoping to see in season 2?

I’ve been gone from tumblr for SO LONG but I’m back now!! That being said...

There’s so much I would absolutely love to see in season two. Jörgen was one of (if not) my favorite characters and I miss him so much. I’m hoping we can hear more stories of the trolls before the little people came and get more of that backstory, maybe see Jorgen again.

I would also like to see Hilda’s relationships grow stronger with David and Frida as they have in season one. I think seeing Frida and Hilda hit a bumpy spot and then come back stronger was so so great because it makes their story more real.

I would also love to see Hilda grow in practicing magic! I think that’s such a cool part of the show and so fitting for her. I hope Hilda continues to learn, read and practice magic throughout season two.

But of course, I’m just hoping for more adventures and great music. Being able to kind of sink into Hildas world for a while is one of the most calming pieces of the show. The art is beautiful and the music is so lovely that it’s makes the show just amazing and peaceful.

while rewatching The Troll Rock, i’ve noticed that the trolls seem to be really smart creatures.

for example:

when she realised that her baby is missing, possibly through her sense of smell, she knows where the baby is and immediately tries to punch down the wall.

when punching the wall doesn’t work, she starts to dig under the wall and manages to get to the other side. this shows a deeper level of problem solving skills than a lot of other animals - though perhaps all wild creatures in the Hilda universe are just as smart.

the troll then finds her way to the school without anyone seeing her. this could show how she knows to stay away from people because of all the harm they have possibly caused to her species.

anyway, that’s my theory, feel free to correct or add on if you notice anything :)

Hi!! I'm finally getting to answering my asks! So sorry it took me forever, school hit me like a truck.

My favorite scene ever in Hilda was when she went to the Woodman’s house and he plays the guitar and offers her mud tea. It’s so precious and calming and I’ve watched it at least 18 times. The song that plays (Annika by The Crayfish) makes my heart so warm and just feel so at peace. The entire vibe of that scene is beautiful.
