The person blinks, noticing Garcello, before smiling kindly at him. "Ah, hello! I'm alright, thank you. I just travel around, and today I traveled here." They... Half explain. "Say, do you have any favorite baked goods?"

"Ah. I see." He pauses at the question "ehm..I rather like muffins, blueberry specifically. Why are you asking?"

Between one blink and the next, a... Seemingly normal human appears. She looks to be in her early 20s, perhaps a bit short. They look around, and at their hands, visibly disoriented.

Garcello seems to flinch a little bit, the sudden appearance startling him. "Ah- ehm- hello. Are you alright? And ahm- how did you get here?"

The man blinks in surprise at this, though a slight smile does make its way to his face (no matter how much he tries to suppress it) "thank you for the..lovely gift. Now, do tell me why you're in the Archives" he may seem mildly unappreciative but this bear is most definitely going home with him.

"Test… test… Gabriel, hopefully if you hear this it means I’ve found a way to record those ‘difficult’ statements I was telling you about. While I hate to speak ill of the dead, the previous Archivist left this place in such a dreadful mess, even an organisation with such an ‘unusual’ focus as the Magnus Institute needs a well-organised archive. As you know, I’ve been going through trying to digitise and record audio versions but I’ve been having trouble with a few of the more… bizarre statements. There have been sufficient distortions as to make them utterly unintelligible."

"Thankfully, though, I managed to unearth this old tape recorder from storage, and these cassettes, archaic as they may be, are still better than nothing. So, with that in mind, I thought I’d take it for a spin, as it were. I’ve taken the shortest of the problem statements, and I’m trying it here. Frankly, I wouldn’t normally bother with something so…fragmented but it should be fine as a test."
