Reason for amnesia: He was experimented on as a kid then buried alive with his memory completely erased

He was a subject of magic experimentation as a kid, his memory was repeatedly erased during that time before the brimhats ultimately buried him alive and freshly missing an eye (and memory again)

Do they get their memory back?: No, only a couple bits recovered due to finding almost-completely-destroyed notes.

“Fun” facts: He hates water due to almost drowning when the coffin he was buried in started leaking in the rain, so he decided to learn as many water-based spells as possible. he loves his life - living in the countryside, teaching and raising 4 kids with his best friend/live-in-situationship - and wants to keep it as long as possible, so he has to keep part of himself constantly occupied with revenge on the ones who experimented on him and stole his eye. he keeps doing shady af stuff like "secretly investigating forbidden magic" or "erasing fragments of other people's memory so they can't inform the cops" because due to the experiments he will literally die if he's too happy/relaxed and the obsession with revenge + stress from secrecy and lying is all that's keeping him alive.

morally gray mentor figure. needs to be miserable and stressed out to live because he will turn into a tree if he feels too safe/happy/comfortable. decided that the best way to do that is to take in a couple witch apprentices then found out he genuinely loves and is good at teaching. whoops need a different source of stress to live so secrecy and lies it is: qifeey told his best friend/housemate he's gonna stop hunting the brimhats who experimented on him, then continued to chase after them but this time alone. he has a couple different memory erasure spells on him at all times - one short term in case olruggio (the best friend) starts to suspect him and/or wants to help (this one is consensual and was olruggio's idea when they were teenagers, not that olly remembers it), another spell for complete memory erasure for himself in case he turns into a tree again

Reason for amnesia: Body Swap! Lena is an agent from an organization that fights against paranormal creatures! To get information about an paranormal ritual, Lena and her team body swap with a bunch of paranormal serial killers. When that happen, they, including Lena, get amnesia: they have no memory of who their current body is, or who they are themselves.

Do they get their memory back?: Yep!

“Fun” facts: When she woke up in a strangers apartment (due to body swap) with no recollection of what happened, one of the first things she does is to kill a guy while screaming "HOLY SHIT THANK GOD I AM PARANOID" (<== there were many traps in the house), she's so iconic and sad but I am not here to talk about sad. Anyway she might end up giving birth to the antichrist soon-

Then he got eaten by worms, stabbed by the incarnation of madness, chased by a monster that had replaced his friend, framed for murder, burnt to third degree, sent plummeting for a 20 minutes long fall, almost got his throat slit by a police officer who kidnapped him, was kidnapped again by mannequins for a month, was later kidnapped a third time by two serial killers, exploded, had two of his ribs removed, went into a coffin of endless terror, saw a sun that would have made blind and mad any other, was made evil and forced to kickstart the apocalypse against his will.

"well there's a bit of a list from childhood. Mainly what I had in mind when I thought of him was:

1st: he ran away from an unloving home (crime) and was forced back with the threat that if he didn't cooperate, his friends (who he saw as his brothers) would be killed for "kidnapping him" -which they didnt do btw (punishment)

2nd and the main one: he took a lil fishing boat w a homemade pirate flag to leave the island at the same time that a government ship was arriving with a world noble. His "crime" was being an eyesore and daring to be in the water at the same time as said world noble was arriving, and the punishment was being shot (with intention to kill) by the world noble (who's above the law)

Spoilers: although I am not fully caught up i do know he survived this attempt, but within the story, for years, everyone who knew him believed him to be dead. Regardless of surviving or not, being shot at just for existing is a bad enough, unreasonable punishment, I'd say. Especially considering he was like 10."

What situation is there in Germany??

In the year 2015, a right wing political party named AfD/Argentur für Deutschland (agency for Germany) managed to gain large enough voting numbers to join our government during that years crisis. Over the years, its voting numbers increased by a lot.

Now, with the wars going on, a lot of people flee to Germany, which has helped them gain even more power.

They have always been known a party with neo nazis members, but they always denied it, even though there was always hate for immigrants as well as holocaust denial.
