I’m realizing that We’re raised in so much evil that we believe good is evil, and that evil is good.
“How unfair and selfish is it to want God to forgive you of everything you’ve ever done and not want to show that same kind of forgiveness towards others
The sting of betrayal still fresh.
The words that cut too deep.
That person who chose themselves over you.
The apology that never came.
The forgiveness that feels impossible.
Your heart knows the weight of your own mistakes — every selfish choice, every word you wish you could take back, every moment you fell short of who you wanted to be. And in those quiet, desperate moments, you’ve reached toward heaven asking for grace, for mercy, for the clean slate that only divine love can offer.
There’s something beautifully human about receiving what we desperately need while struggling to give what others desperately need from us. It doesn’t make you selfish. It makes you real. Forgiveness isn’t a light switch we flip — it’s a muscle we strengthen, sometimes one painful rep at a time.
The same God who sees every crack in your armor and chooses love anyway isn’t asking you to be perfect at forgiveness overnight. He’s asking you to remember the relief you felt when grace found you, and to let that memory soften the edges of your own wounded heart.
You may see an impossible standard you’ll never meet.
He sees a heart learning to love like He does.
You may see your inability to forgive as failure.
He sees your willingness to try as worship.
You may see someone undeserving of grace.
He sees someone created in His image, just like you.
How unfair and selfish is it to want God to forgive you of everything you’ve ever done and not want to show that same kind of forgiveness towards others
It’s human.
And grace covers that too.
Now let it overflow.”
