IMPORTANT NOTE FOR THE DUSKNOIR FIGHT

I can recreate a strategy, but I was recently (okay just now) helping my sister with her Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Darkness- Orbs DO NOT work at all in the Dusknoir Fight. I suggest if anything off of the top of my head still throwing Blast Seeds and bring tons of Reviver Seeds. If it is needed for me to go into detail on a new strategy, let me know. It won't be difficult to create a new one. I apologize for this error. It has honestly been a while since I have played an EoT/D/S game, but I remember most. I am currently replaying all the Pokémon Mystery Dungeons I own, so I should have a lot more facts soon! @blog-the-star-child

PSMD Tips and Tricks #3

It's always a good idea to visit all towns you can before going on expeditions. It's also a good idea to talk to anyone with an exclamation point above their head. Sometimes, it's a Pokémon who just wants to talk, and then they'll join you! Another good thing to think about is taking on multiple quests at once in the same dungeon- it gets you a lot of things!

PMD Strategy Replies #1

I have just received a question about whether or not my Blast Seed and Petrify Orb Strategy would work for the Dusknoir Boss Fight by @blog-the-star-child . Unfortunately, the Dusknoir Boss Fight is actually a part of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky. As I have actually just recently covered, Blast Seeds work differently in PMD EoT/D/S, and if eaten, inflicts damage on the player. Though that doesn't mean similar strategies can't be used. Blast Seeds can still be thrown in PMD EoT/D/S, and there are still many ways to keep your enemies from moving and attacking. Petrify Orbs, Paralyze Orbs, Sleep Orbs, and Confuse Orbs all can keep your opponent from actually attacking (though Confuse Orbs are a bit more risky). For a fight like the Dusknoir one, I would try to stay away from Sleep and Confuse Orbs. I would also probably stick with throwable items that inflict damage, such as Blast Seeds and Sticks, and would also still go all straight for the main boss first. If I have gotten anything wrong from what I was asked, please let me know! And if you would like me to help create a strategy that is further effective for your game and team, feel free to DM me with your Pokémon Team, Moves, HP, and Available Items, and I can create a more detailed, more effective, less generalized strategy for you to use! Mystery Dungeon Comparison #1

Now with the talk about Blast Seeds and Grimy Food, I would like to point out a few differences between these food items in both Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky. While in PSMD you can find Grimy Food in the Voidlands, in PMD EoT/D/S Grimy Food is obtained by stepping on a Grimy Trap. In PSMD, eating a Blast Seed in front of an enemy would inflict 100 damage on the enemy and none to you, filling your Belly about 2, but in PMD EoT/D/S, eating a Blast Seed fills your Belly slightly and inflicts damage to you. ++ more comparisons at a later time ++

PSMD Strategy #1

For anyone out there stuck on a boss battle in Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, I have one of many different strategies that is quick and effective to use. All that is needed is 2 or more Blast Seeds and a Petrify Orb. During the boss battle, you would use the Petrify Orb first, then walk up in front of the main boss, face said boss, and eat (yes eat) the Blast Seeds. Each Blast Seed, when eaten in front of an enemy, inflicts 100 damage to the enemy, yet none to you. If you were to throw the Blast Seed, it would only inflict around 25 damage. With the other enemies still petrified, you would be able to easily walk up to them and take them down. This specific strategy is especially effective on fights like the Giratina Boss Fight. ++ To be expanded upon later ++

PSMD Tips and Tricks #2

Though being a food item you get in certain points of the game, Grimy Food is a weird, yet potentially fun food item you can find in the Voidlands. Grimy Food fills about 30 of your Belly, though when eaten it can inflict a random status condition, one of them being Poison. One would assume an item like this being found in later stages would sell for some decent Poké but on the contrary, Grimy Food only sells for 1 Poké at the Kecleon Shop. This can also be said about the Plain Seed, which you obtain by eating Reviver Seeds and Tiny Reviver Seeds. Plain Seeds only sell for 1 Poké as well, and would only fill about 2-3 of your Belly. ++ Topic to be expanded upon later ++

Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon (PSMD) Tips and Tricks #1

Did you know that selling Fresh Apples (🍎✨) is a good way to get Poké? Selling a single Fresh Apple at the Kecleon Shop will give you 100 Poké. Strangely enough, selling a Normal Apple (🍎) will only get you 50 Poké, yet if you were to buy a Normal Apple, it only costs 25 Poké. Both Normal Apples and Fresh Apples fill the same amount of your Belly (50), so a good way to get Poké, yet still have the Apples necessary to fill your Belly in a dungeon, would be to sell your Fresh Apples and stock up on Normal ones. Putting it simply, selling one Fresh Apple would give you the Poké to buy four Normal ones, and Normal Apples fill your Belly just the same. This is also pretty effective, considering for quite a few dungeons you can get around 3-8 Fresh Apples per expedition, so you would be able to increase your bank around 300-800 Poké easily per day in-game if you were to not buy anything from Kecleon. This is not including Poké you would already get from the dungeon alone. This is also smart so you can save up for more expensive, effective items sold at the Kecleon Shop, as well as the Lapras Liner Passes. ++ Topic to be expanded on at later time ++
